The Beauty and Style Spotlight Team!

I have a problem with shoes. I admit it. I think it grows out of my childhood. My feet are, basically, the same size they were when I was in third grade. I think I finished growing in fifth grade so I had really big feet, comparatively speaking, for a couple of years. It was hard to find cute shoes when you’re 8 or 9 and wearing a woman’s size. My mom once grew so frustrated with me, she told my dad he had to take me shoe shopping. I know the salesman at one of the two shoe stores in our hometown shuddered when I walked in the door! On top of that, I think I only got new shoes two or three times a year. Sometimes, I got lucky and got my cousin’s hand me downs. Then, there were the years I taught when I was quite zoftig. Your shoe size doesn’t change like your pants size does! After my two foot surgeries, my aim was to find comfortable, supportive, but cute shoes. It took me a while, but I finally did it. Back when my kids were young and we’d go on vacation with my mom, I would have worn sandals like these (you can read more about them here). Nowadays, I can wear them for short periods of time, but wear them I will!

The lineup…
