Another Day, Another Opportunity!

I am so thrilled to be joining the women who make up the Beauty Spotlight Team! You can expect this post every Saturday! It’s been a warm and gorgeous Friday in Central Indiana. We’re expecting some pretty powerful storms tonight though. These are the days I not so graciously remind Nigel how much I miss having a basement. We have a large crawlspace, but you definitely have to crawl. Tomorrow (Saturday), I have more docent training. I have to tell you, my friends, I am loving this new learning. I am definitely intimidated (and that’s not easy) by the knowledge all the docents have of the art, the movements, and the layout of the museum. Like most museums, the Indianapolis Museum of Art is constantly moving art around or replacing objects. But, I absolutely love it!

Without further ado…

Marsha of Marsha in the Middle is a true child of the 70s. She remembers when jeans were jeans and women knew just how to wear them!  This post is not about those jeans if they even exist anywhere but in Marsha’s mind.  The post is about jeans that just don’t make the cut and why we shouldn’t buy them.

Looking for a nourishing and effective primer? If so, Lola’s Secret Beauty Blog highly recommends Jane Iredale Smooth Affair Face Primer. This brightening primer hydrates skin, and it minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines.

Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style shares a post about wearing light blue when the colour doesn’t look good near your face. You can still wear the colours you love, even if it is not in your colour palette. She couldn’t resist this graphic skirt with light blue in it!

This is National Sleep Week! Allison from Never Say Die Beauty has a suggestion or two to help you relax and fall asleep.

Angie at Your True Self Blog has a style tip with lots of examples to show how amazing your outfits can look when you mix textures. They will end up having a luxurious and fresh feeling of richness. In many cases, they will also feel cozy when you need to take the chill off.

Thank you!

I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for reading, commenting, subscribing or emailing! It truly means so much to me! If you’d like to follow me on Instagram, you can find me here.
