Those April showers definitely led to May flowers. My rose bushes are filled with little buds, and some have already begun to open. Unfortunately, the leaves on the bushes appear to be quite delicious to something because, in the course of one day, entire groups of leaves were lace! I hate using insecticides, but I did use some on my rose bushes. Today, Monday, I spent way too many dollars on flowers to plant in my various pots and containers…nary a vegetable to be seen! I also bought an alocasia for the front yard. It’s already planted.
10 on the 10th…
I have lots of pet peeves, and lots of them have to do with word use and grammar. I tried so hard to get the difference between can and may through to my students. I’m pretty sure that was very low on their lists of things they learned and remembered! This month, we are going with ten different things you can and may do. If you’d rather do four of one and six of the other, that’s fine! Just make sure you have ten! I hope you’ll participate and join in on all the fun with this month’s prompt. There will also be a link party on the 10th! Remember, your posts don’t have to specifically be 10 on the 10th posts.
Thank you!

Don’t worry! You can always leave all or some of your answers in the comments! If you don’t want to do that, you might discover a new blog! Blog friends, if you’d rather not participate, please share this party with others so we have lots of links!
I’m in!
Oh, good! Your answers will be amazing, I know!
This sounds like fun!
I hope so! We will see!
Thank you!
You’re welcome! I just couldn’t come up with anything creative this month!
Ha! Another thing we have in common…proper grammar! I am a Grammar Queen myself so this prompt gave me a good giggle!
Shelbee
Oh, I’m glad to find I’m not the only member of the Grammar Police…though it appears you are the Queen! I shall be a princess or lady in waiting! Have fun, my friend!
My mom is the same way! She loves to correct newspapers and written documents. As a speech pathologist I have a few grammatical annoyances (irregular past tense verbs is one)!
Oh, yes…those past tense verbs can be tough! My husband used to get annoyed at me for correcting his grammar. Now, he just goes on!
Thanks, Laura!
