The Beauty and Style Spotlight Team!

My hibiscus bush!

My hibiscus bush doesn’t look like this right now. In fact, it’s only got some sprouts about a foot high. But, it’s looked like this every other summer so I have no reason to think it won’t look like this again. None of my daisies have popped up so I’m thinking they may be goners. Either that, or they are really late bloomers (pun intended). One end of the hump has yarrow growing nice and thick. The other end is really sparse. I don’t know what’s going on. I did get every single plant in a pot or the ground by Tuesday or Wednesday this past week. If you think I’m bad, my oldest son planted about a dozen flats of flowers. And, my youngest son set up a growing area in his dining room for seedlings. My daughter is reveling in her new home, poking out the weeds and checking in every once in a while to see what something is. She got three peony plants for Mother’s Day and is thrilled. I am so happy all of my kids inherited my love of plants. My youngest is winning right now because his house is filled with all kinds of plants. I used to have so many more when we had lots of natural light.

  1. I’m so sorry that I could not participate this weekend. There are always such good links with interesting and fun reads! Have a great Sunday Marsha!

  2. I went to the garden centre for a couple of plants and came home with many more yesterday! Who can resist?

    • Hahaha!!! I hope to go some time this week and see what I can find. I don’t really need anything…well, I might need some columbine as the bunnies have just torn them to bits. They usually spread so well, but they don’t seem to be doing that. I cannot resist new plants!

  3. Your bush is beautiful! I wish I had a better eye for where to place flowers and plants. I just want to buy them all!
