Week #106
We have been watching the third season of “The White Lotus.” There was something about the dad, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. So, of course, I googled it. He was Lucius Malfoy! I quite liked the looks of Lucius…long hair just does it for me! I haven’t quite figured out where this season is going, but I’ve liked it the best of all three seasons. I love Aimee Lee Wood in it, too. I really liked her in “Sex Education.” Anyway, welcome to the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.
Wouldn’t you like to know more about your hostesses? We’ve got you covered there! Please feel free to drop by the others to see what their blogs are all about! We are a very diverse group of bloggers. Links to each blog appear below.

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity. Oh, who are we kidding? Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!
Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household – The name says it all, we homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing this land. I cook and bake from scratch, between gardening and running after the chickens, and knitting!
Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and more.
Sue from Women Living Well After 50 started blogging in 2015 and writes about living an active and healthy lifestyle, fashion, book reviews and her podcast and enjoying life as a woman over 50. She invites you to join her living life in full bloom.
As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Lynne from Thrifting Wonderland.

Lynne’s blog is filled with her glorious thrifting finds as well as her beautiful home and garden. She puts together some of the most beautiful tables. Sometimes, she even shares recipes. You can find her here, and please tell her we sent you!

Hi, Marsha – With all that you do, I don’t know how you get the time to watch t.v.! But I’m glad you do relax and recreate together. Thanks for the link up – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com
We had some similar ones this week and you had at least two I didn’t even see somehow!
Thanks, Lisa! I know…I try to look at all of them so closely, and then you or the others will feature one I had no recollection of. I think that’s a good thing…it means there are a lot of them!
I loved the Dad in White Lotus. I became obsessed with watching his face – his eyes would change emotion with the rest of his face barely moving – but suddenly hardening or just the slightest wrinkle forming around the eye or mouth. He was brilliant. Soooooo good.
Oh, my gosh! He really did do an amazing job of emoting. We are down to the last few episodes, and the anguish he’s feeling (when he’s not numb) is heartbreaking. I kept thinking he was Jon Hamm, but I knew he wasn’t. Then, I googled him and was surprised to discover who he had played before this. I’ve seen him in other things and always have the same reaction. He truly is a gifted actor.
Thanks, Lydia!

Lynne’s posts are gorgeous, aren’t they? From the writing to the recipes to the tables, it’s all wonderful! Have a wonderful vacation. I’m hoping we can have one this fall.
Thanks, Mireille!
Thanks for the feature, Marsha! I’m wearing my outfit for the SIA Pumpkin challenge today – this one was tougher than I expected, but I’m happy with what I’ve come up with!
You’re so welcome, Sally! I have been so negligent in reading your blog. I’m still not getting emails. I just posted my SIA outfit. It’s not perfect, but it worked!
Yes! It took me forever to realize that was Lucius Malfoy too!
I didn’t realize it…I had to google it. I could see it sometimes, in his eyes. But, goodness, it’s been several years since he was Lucius, right?
Thanks, Joanne!
I was just a bit overwhelmed, LOL, when I saw your post today, Marsha. What an honor to be the featured blogger on your site. Bloggers have all sorts reasons for putting content on line each week. For me it’s a creative outlet that allows me to share with others what I’ve been doing in and around our home. It’s great to spread a love of home and family when there is so much negativity on-line these days. Thanks for hosting each week and giving all of us a chance to share with others the positive things in our lives.
Lynne, Thrifting Wonderland
You are so welcome, Lynne! We always enjoy having you join us. You are so right about the different reasons bloggers blog. I love the long form of it and getting to know people. I always enjoy reading your posts. They are uplifting and lovely!
Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
You are welcome, Patrick! Here’s to a fabulous week!
We really liked The White Lotus too. Unfortunately, since they moved it to HBO max, we are missing the 3rd season. We could add it, but…. Where do you draw the line on yet another streaming service? Sex Education was a hoot. I hope all is going smoothly with Nigel.
Thanks, Michelle! As I’m writing this, he’s in recovery from the second surgery. I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed this goes well. I know what you mean about adding streaming services. I honestly think the third season was the best and darkest. I really was sad when I saw Sex Education wasn’t having any more seasons. It’s just so funny and so good as well as addressing so many needs.
