Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week 127!

Would you believe we’ve not only had frost, but we’ve turned on the furnace? And, last week, we had temps in the 80s (26.7C)! Anyway, I’m pretty sure Fall is here to stay. I’ve gotten rid of several plants and am covering up others I need to figure out where they’ll spend the winter. But, are you ready for some big news? You may have already noticed some changes in our graphic! Yes, Cat, from Cat’s Wire and Rena from Fine, Whatever! I’m not sure about times right now, but I will still be aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?

As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Ponder from Ponder – the Cat!

Ponder appears to be quite an enigma. Apparently, he (I’m making an assumption here) writes about his life and that of his roommate, der Dekan. You can find him here, and please let him know we sent you!

Want to know more about us…

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity.  Oh, who are we kidding?  Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!

Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household  – The name says it all, we homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing this land. I cook and bake from scratch, between gardening and running after the chickens, and knitting!

Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and more.

Cat from Cat’s Wire is a bookworm, movie fan, crazy cat lady, armed with beads, cabs, wire and a very jumpy brain which loves to go down rabbit holes!

Rena from Fine, Whatever writes about style, midlife, and the “fine whatever” moments that make life both meaningful and fun. Since 2015, she’s been celebrating creativity, confidence, and finding joy in the everyday.

    • I’m so glad you’ve joined us, Rena! Yes, we had frost, but my Facebook memories showed me we had lots of snow a few years ago!

  2. Thanks Marsha. Great idea to feature a blog, this one I didn’t know yet!

  3. My furnace has been for two weeks or so now, but it’s a bit confused because temps went up and down, up and down. Now it’s really supposed to get colder and it’s windy!
    Glad to be on team!
    Have a lovely weekend 🙂

    • I’m glad you’re on the team, Cat! Our thermostat is one of those tricky little numbers you can program. The husband doesn’t really like that I program it to go low at night, but I like being a bit on the chilly side then.

  4. Welcome to your new hosts!

  5. Yay for 2 new co-hosts! That’ great.

  6. During the past week, we’ve had our furnace on at night and I’m covering my mums, too! It’s supposed to warm up slightly over the weekend so maybe we can squeak in a few more days of warmth! Thanks, as always, for being a terrific host, Marsha! Wishing you a fabulous fall weekend ahead!

    • I’ve been covering my elephant ears as they are the only thing I want to save. I did carry my geraniums and petunias into the garage. I haven’t quite decided if I’m going to try wintering the geraniums over or not. I’m so glad you join us each week, Laura! Thank you!

  7. Marsha,

  9. I’m so glad to see the linkup is back and thriving. You’re so right that this time of year is all about getting those plants sorted out and finally settling into the cozy routines.
