Gallery of Style: “The Boulevard Montmartre at Night!”

Welcome to the Gallery of Style! This piece of art is full of so many different elements from which you could create an outfit. And, you’ll see just that in our Gallery of Style! Gallery of style…

Sally, from Within a World of My Own, says, “I really didn’t know what to wear for this challenge, so I took inspiration from one of Marsha’s common approaches and selected a dress in the colors of the artwork.  To play up the reflection of light in the dark city scene, I chose gold-toned accessories to complete the outfit.”

We have a new blogger joining us this week! Please welcome Chandra. She can be found at Raven Ink Designs. Isn’t that skirt perfect for this challenge? And, the pop of color with the orange (I think) crossbody bag is fabulous! Honestly, I cannot get over how well that skirt fits the prompt! Thanks for joining us, Chandra!

Next is Shelbee, one of my co-hosts, from Shelbee on the Edge in a beautiful look against a fabulous backdrop. Shelbee always finds the neatest places! She says, “This midnight blue sundress felt like the sky and the yellow robe thingy represents the yellow lights along the boulevard. I wore black accessories to highlight the darkness. Ha. It was windy as heck which also seemed appropriate. I think it gets fairly windy in Paris, doesn’t it”

Next, we have Salazar, my other co-host, from 14 Shades of Grey. She writes, “I went with navy and gray as the main colors for my outfit, and added a gold tie and a gold and pearl brooch as a nod to the lights in the painting. Thank you for this, I had a lot of fun with it!” You can find Salazar’s post here.

Finally, here I am! I wasn’t entirely sure I’d made the grade with this outfit until I saw the photos. I knew the duster/topper/whatever you call it was going to make the cut, but I didn’t know how to pull in the yellow. Seriously, I think the little yellow top made the outfit!
