Week 110!
Y’all, we had another tornado warning just the other night. I had Nigel get into his wheelchair, and we huddled in the hallway. I threw several throw pillows on him and pulled a featherbed out for me and Jack. The storm passed quickly and wasn’t near as bad as the last one. But, this is the second one, and we’re only in June. Wouldn’t you know it? This happens once we live in a house without a basement (the first house since 1981! Oh, and I have three bird nests around the house making a mess everywhere as well as at least three bunnies. I caught the bunnies (not literally) in the backyard and screamed at them. They just looked at me as if daring me to make them! They won and probably always will. Anyway, welcome to the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm. Wouldn’t you like to know more about your hostesses? We’ve got you covered there! Please feel free to drop by the others to see what their blogs are all about! We are a very diverse group of bloggers. Links to each blog appear below.

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity. Oh, who are we kidding? Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!
Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household – The name says it all, we homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing this land. I cook and bake from scratch, between gardening and running after the chickens, and knitting!
Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and more.
Sue from Women Living Well After 50 started blogging in 2015 and writes about living an active and healthy lifestyle, fashion, book reviews and her podcast and enjoying life as a woman over 50. She invites you to join her living life in full bloom.
As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Laura from I do deClaire!

Laura says, “I’m Laura and I started I do deClaire way back in 2013 a few months after our first daughter, Claire was born. After I became a mom for the first time I didn’t want to lose my love of fashion and clothing. I started blogging as a way to hold myself accountable and show others that fashion doesn’t have to be time consuming, expensive, or uncomfortable. It’s all about finding what you love and what you feel best in. And you can do it all on a budget!
A little more about myself: I married Matt, my high school sweetheart right out of college. We spent over 10 years in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area where I went to graduate school for speech pathology and worked in the public school system. Our oldest daughter Claire is our Christmas baby born on Christmas of 2012. We experienced unexplained secondary infertility while trying to have another child and after several years went through IVF twice finally becoming pregnant with our second blessing, Aveline. Her name appropriately means ‘wished for child.’ Our family is so blessed in many ways! On the summer of 2018 we moved from outside of Milwaukee to Naperville, Illinois. Matt got a job with a different company and with the move I decided to take a break from work and enjoy time at home as a stay at home mom. Currently I am working part-time as a Speech Pathologist and enjoying time with my family!” You can visit Laura here, and please tell her we sent you!

Glad to hear this storm wasn’t as bad. My fingers are crossed for no more storms this year!
Thank you for hosing and have a lovely weekend.

Thanks, Cat! In the past, I would have said there wouldn’t be any more storms. These days, though, I can’t say that. And, you are welcome for the link party!
Oh a tornado sounds pretty scaring to me. Luckily it wasn’t near! Thanks for hosting the party and have a great weekend!
Luckily, we haven’t actually been in one just way too close to one. They are very scary because they’re so random. The last one that hit our town bounced over the hospital and hit a big farm, flattening several huge spruce trees. Then, it skipped an entire neighborhood and hit the one we used to live in, but it didn’t hit near our old house. You’re welcome for the link up! I hope your week is wonderful!
Marsha,
Hopefully, you do not have to take shelter for a possible tornado again soon…I live in a house without a basement too!!
My Link Ups for today’s party are # 19, 20 and 21!!
Thanks so much for hosting this wonderful party!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!! I hope you are having a great week!!
Hugs,

Thanks, Deb! Then, you know exactly what I mean. We have had a basement all these years so I felt much more comfortable during the summer even when the basement wasn’t so nice. I’m so glad you link up with us each week, too!
Ugh! How freaking scary! I do not miss living in the plains for that reason. I hope Nigel’s recovery continues to go well.
Thanks, Michelle! He’s feeling a little more confident when he walks, but he still can’t wait until his next appointment. He lives for those x-rays showing that everything is OK. I have to tell you I’ve never ever experienced one storm like this…and to have a second so close to the first one is scary. Climate change is so very real.
Oh my, Marsha! Your adrenaline must sky rocket when you receive the warnings… I know I feel that way (especially after you’ve just experienced one)! Praying that it’s a “quiet” week ahead! Thanks for hosting us all each week! We know a lot of work goes into it and we are grateful!
Thanks, Laura! Yes, my adrenaline is flowing when I hear that awful warning sound. Why couldn’t it be a nice tone…probably because we wouldn’t pay any attention to it. It’s going to be in the 90s this week which means we’ll probably have the chance of storms all week. And you are so welcome for the link up. We’re so glad you join us every week!
I’m in northeastern Ohio and we had some really dicey weather Wednesday evening. Our neighborhood looks like a disaster zone with all the branches and tree limbs everywhere. Fortunately no one was injured and damage wasn’t too severe. I hope this is the last of it … pretty scary isn’t it? Praying we all stay safe this summer.
I used to live in NE Indiana, and they have gotten hit with weather we rarely got in all the years we lived there. This storm didn’t wreak much havoc at all. I’m hoping this is the last of it, too. Stay safe, Beth!
The bunnies won and probably always will – I approve! 😀 Glad you all made it through the storm OK.
Thanks, Sally! I dislike what the bunnies do, but I’m not gonna hurt them over some plants. Luckily, they don’t seem to like my roses. I do wish we had a basement, though! I’m just afraid the next time is going to be the big one.
Thank you SO MUCH for the feature! What a wonderful surprise! Have a wonderful weekend!
You are so welcome, Laura! Thanks for linking up with us!
Funny bunny story! The weather has been pretty strange these past couple of years! We have had much more rain than usual I feel like. Thankfully not a lot of tornado warnings because those always tend to happen when my husband is out of town.

Oh, those bunnies…they let my plants get so big, and then they come back and mow them down. In all my years, we’ve never had such bad weather. Then, it happens again! The weather patterns are definitely changing.
Yikes that is some crazy weather! Thankfully we’ve only had rain and no tornado warnings. So glad you were safe!
Thanks, Joanne! It’s the first time in my life to experience this kind of weather and to have it happen twice in such a short time is crazy. Now, we’re under a heat advisory! I hope your weather continues to be nice!
Those storms sound crazy! I hope you don’t keep having them!
I chose that cute dinosaur garden too!
Two in just a few months is two too many! I saw you did…it was so cute!
That dinosaur garden is indeed lovely!
Isn’t it just the coolest thing?
