Week 115!
I do hope wherever you live, you’re staying cool (or warm). We are under a heat advisory for the next day or so. Today, the real feel was 105 (40.5C). I feel so badly for anyone who has to work outside in this weather. But, the same goes for very cold weather, too. I’m hoping we soon get cooler weather, but I’m not holding my breath. Welcome to the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.
As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Natasha from Serenity You.

Natasha says, “Hi, I’m Natasha, a married mum with 3 teenagers and 3 cats. Bookworm, tea drinker, cake lover and weirdo. I like to share lifestyle and wellbeing posts, along with reviews, giveaways, recipes, and the odd craft.” You can visit her here, and please tell her we sent you!
Wouldn’t you like to know more about your hostesses? We’ve got you covered there! Please feel free to drop by the others to see what their blogs are all about! We are a very diverse group of bloggers. Links to each blog appear below.

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity. Oh, who are we kidding? Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!
Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household – The name says it all, we homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing this land. I cook and bake from scratch, between gardening and running after the chickens, and knitting!
Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and more.
Sue from Women Living Well After 50 started blogging in 2015 and writes about living an active and healthy lifestyle, fashion, book reviews and her podcast and enjoying life as a woman over 50. She invites you to join her living life in full bloom.

Thank you so much for the feature…and, yes, there IS a lot of DIY in my future!
You are so welcome! I hope to see the results as you go on about it!
Wow, that is very hot. I would be lying in the pool all day i think. We have a lot of rain now which is boring. I want to eat outside in the evening. All well, can’t have it all right, lol.
Thanks, Nancy! If I had a pool, that’s exactly where I would be! We have thunderstorms later in the night. It is way too hot for us to eat outside, but it would definitely be nice to do it.
Oh god that is hot! We’ve cooled down here with lots of rain and thunderstorms! Hope you are keeping cool in your fabulous dresses Marsha x Jacqui
Thanks, Jacqui! Yes, it is awful here. It’s been raining a lot, too, which just makes it even muggier and sticky. I do wear my dresses a lot in this weather. Have a fab week!
Thanks so much for the feature my friend!

You are so welcome, my friend!
Goodness, you are warm, Marsha! I, too, think about all the workers who don’t have the option of heading indoors. I hope they are able to stay hydrated and I hope you and Nigel can stay cool this weekend! Thanks for hosting us all!
You are welcome, Laura! We have mowers in our community so I’m always out there passing out ice water. I used to give them lemonade until I realized that probably make them more thirsty. The middle school down the road is getting a new roof, and I really worry about those workers. I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
I featured Katherine’s dress on my link party this week too; I just LOVE the details– on both her lovely dresses!
Weren’t they just amazing!!! I don’t know which one I loved best…and, she looked so beautiful in both!
I’ve started walking around 7 pm in the evening. I am looking forward to fall and it’s hard to enjoy the outdoors this time of the year.

Is the sun down that much at 7:00? It’s still quite warm here at that time. I walk in the garage with a fan on me. I cannot wait for fall even though I know I shouldn’t wish away the days.
It’s hot here too, Marsha. I am so grateful for our swimming pool, or I’d never get outside at all for at least two months of the year. Of course, come winter when we are not shoveling snow (as we used to before we moved), I’ll be grateful.
Thanks, Christie! I have always wanted an inground pool. If we’d stayed up north, I’d have had one. But, family calls louder than a pool, I guess! I don’t mine shoveling snow too much as long as it’s not over and over. We do live in a condo community so if it gets too bad, that’s taken care of for us.
I am counting the days until this heat and humidity end, sadly it’s going to be several months!
xo,
Kellyann
I feel your pain right now, Kellyann! I cannot imagine this kind of weather for months on end. We’re supposed to get a break next week, but I’ll believe it when I feel it!
Loved the beautiful dress you showed…so much fine detail. Hope you are staying cool inside. It’s very hot and humid here, too and seems like we are always watering. Summer! Thanks so much for the feature for the Renaissance entryway. It was quite fun to put together. Wishing you a wonderful week.
Lynne, Thrifting Wonderland
Wasn’t that dress unbelievable? Her other dress was just as spectacular! I love my flowers, but there are times I think I should scale back! You are so welcome for the feature! I’m so glad you link up with us!
Ugh the weather here today is super gross. Sweaty and swampy and soooo hot. We have a heat advisory right now and I stepped outside for one second and noped out.
Yeah, I’ve been noping out a lot lately! Unfortunately, our house faces east and west with the porch on the west side. It’s just miserable to sit out there for very long. We often end up sitting in our garage (like old people)! Hope you cool off soon. We’re supposed to, but I’ll believe it when I feel it!
