Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week 130!

Oh, boy, was I wrong! Last week, I mentioned we were supposed to get snow! We ended up with three inches on the ground. It’s all gone now, but it was pretty while it lasted. Then, the Northern Lights appeared. I went out and looked around, but our house is located in a little dip (kinda like me…hahaha). So, I didn’t see them. Seeing the Aurora Borealis is definitely on my bucket list so I missed a prime opportunity. My Facebook and Instagram were full of everybody else seeing it! Anyway, it’s time for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! I’m not sure about times right now, but I will still be aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?

As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Olivia from Bemused and Bookish!

Olivia says, “I’m an American expat who lives in Shëngjin, Albania with my exceptional husband, and a 7 pound chiweenie who rules the household. (I swear he was a cat in another life.) I love picking up shells on the beach, sunsets, learning about my new country, interacting with blogging community, and of course books!

I will read most genres. Mystery and science fiction are my favorites. I tend to avoid romances. My all time favorite books are Project Hail Mary and the Murderbot series.

I add books to my to-be-read list almost daily and it is long enough to last me the rest of my life.” You can find her blog here, and please tell her we sent you.

Want to know more about us…

Cat from Cat’s Wire is a bookworm, movie fan, crazy cat lady, armed with beads, cabs, wire and a very jumpy brain which loves to go down rabbit holes!

Rena from Fine, Whatever writes about style, midlife, and the “fine whatever” moments that make life both meaningful and fun. Since 2015, she’s been celebrating creativity, confidence, and finding joy in the everyday.

  1. We might get some snow next week. I hope not, hate it. Have a good weekend!

  2. I’m with Nancy, I really hope we won’t be getting any snow this winter. I don’t miss it at all.
    Happy weekend! 🙂

    • Hahaha! I love snow, but this was a little too early for even me. We haven’t had a really good snowstorm here in years. Have a fabulous week, Cat!

    • It was so pretty on our neighbor’s trees. But, it’s long gone. We were in the 70s today (Saturday). And, you’re welcome for the link up!

  4. We actually got some snow flurries on Monday! It was really cold and windy. Now we are back to having highs in the 70s. It is crazy! Have a great weekend!

    • You’re welcome, Deb! How much did you get? We ended up with about three inches which is wild. Of course, today (Saturday) we were in the 70s!

  6. Happy Friday, Marsha! We didn’t get any snow this past week here in Minnesota… so strange that other areas of the country are getting it before us this year! Since today marks the third anniversary of our very first blog post, we’re feeling especially appreciative of you and your cohosts and the many ways you’ve supported and encouraged us! Thanks for your visits and comments, too! Have a great weekend!

    • You are very welcome, Laura! And, happy anniversary for your blog! I would never have guessed you were only three years old! That really is strange you didn’t get any snow. I know, where we lived up north, they received several inches.

  7. I’ve always wanted to see the Northern lights too but despite getting up in the middle of the night I still didn’t spot them this time either.

    • Thanks, Joanne! I don’t know why I couldn’t see them because many people in our town posted photos on Facebook. Hopefully, we’ll both get to see them sometime!
