Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Weeks 148!

It’s been a quiet week here at Haus der Mitte. But, I’ll take quiet over hospital any day of the week. Nigel and I have fallen into a routine, and life just looks a little different than it used to. My boys have been rockstars, coming to fill in for me when I have had commitments I just can’t walk away from. Gosh, I’m ending way too many sentences with prepositions! The good news is we have an appointment with the surgeon’s PA on Monday. I’m not exactly sure what that is about, but I’ll take any kind of communication with them that I can get. I’m bound and determined Nigel will be walking by our 50th anniversary this June! Anyway, it’s time for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! I’m not sure about times right now, but I will still be aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?

As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Snapdragon Alcove!

Our featured blogger writes, “Just a blogger who love to write about all things nerdy. Love coffee and long walks wandering off the trail.” You can find Snapdragon here, and please tell her we sent you!

Want to know more about us…

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity.  Oh, who are we kidding?  Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!

Cat from Cat’s Wire is a bookworm, movie fan, crazy cat lady, armed with beads, cabs, wire and a very jumpy brain which loves to go down rabbit holes!

Rena from Fine, Whatever writes about style, midlife, and the “fine whatever” moments that make life both meaningful and fun. Since 2015, she’s been celebrating creativity, confidence, and finding joy in the everyday.

  7. Hi, Marsha – You are a real gem of a wife and I would call you a heroine because of the Herculean job you are handling! Best wishes for a joyful anniversary to come – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

    • Awww, thank you, Angie! I know he would do exactly the same thing for me. But, it’s just in my nature to set goals and accomplish them. Not being able to get Mike up and walking has really bothered me. I didn’t want to say anything to him about getting a second opinion until he was ready. Now, I feel so very hopeful.

  8. Thank you for featuring in this week’s post.

  9. You guys have got this!! I am glad to hear that you have fallen into a routine, no matter what that looks like now.

    • Thanks, my friend! Yes, I thrive on routines so we will make it through this…even if Mike is kicking and screaming the whole way! Well, he won’t exactly be kicking…screaming probably!
