Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #25

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam with Emma, and me. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:00pm EDT and 2:00am (Friday) in the UK. Gail had to leave us due to an uptick in her blogging schedule. If you’d like to co-host, just send Emma or me an email. We’d love to have you join us.

We haven’t been doing much of anything because it is just too hot and humid. As I type this, the outside temperature is 95F (35C), but the Real Feel with the humidity factored in makes it feel 105F (40.6C). I know I’m very lucky to have air conditioning in my home as so many don’t. I had a doctor’s appointment, and the third floor was so warm. The building has a three story atrium, and I’m sure, while it looks nice, that doesn’t help the cooling (or heating) bills much. One of these days, I will start with something so much more interesting that the weather report!

Please link up your favorite posts below. They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! And, please visit a few of the posts linked! And, make sure you visit Emma! She has the most fantastical wardrobe…her red sunglasses with beads make me a little green with envy. Please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam!

  1. Marsha, thanks so much for hosting. My entry number is 3.

  2. Thank you for the party. It’s been hot here too but I think today is the last day. I lived without air conditioning most of my life, and even now I don’t have central air, just two window air conditioners which do most of the job. They are only on when it gets really hot, just a few times a year.

    • You are welcome, Amy! I would have wilted away to nothing decades ago without central air. Our first house didn’t have AC at all, but we both worked a lot. The first house we built in 1989 didn’t have AC at first. We had it installed after the first summer because there was no shade and it was hot! I am afraid we will be using ours for several more weeks this year.

  3. Oh gross, I am so sorry it is so hot where you live. It is cooling down here with lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s. I cannot complain. Until the snow comes. And doesn’t stop coming for 8 months. Then I complain. Have a lovely weekend, my friend. Stay cool!

    • It has really been miserable here. We probably won’t truly cool down until the end of September. And, we have only had a handful of decent snowfalls since we moved here eight years ago.

      Have a fabulous week!!!

  4. Marsha,
we had a few days of cooler weather which was great but it is hot and humid again…I am SO ready for Fall!!!
Thanks again for hosting this wonderful party every week! I know how much time goes into doing so and I want you to know that it I truly appreciate it!! I hope you have a great week!
    Hugs,
    Deb

    • You are very welcome, Deb! I am also ready for Fall. We are supposed to have cooler temperatures this week, but I’m sure they’ll be high again soon enough.

      Have a wonderful week!

  5. Thanks for the feature, Marsha! Life in Midwest…we make up for the freezing winters with hot summers, right? Sometimes I get the feeling that the phrase “four season climate” is code for “comfortable outdoors for a few days every year”! 😀

    • Hahaha!!! You may be right on that one! We always say to wait around if you don’t like the weather because it will change soon. That hasn’t been happening. I did read we were under a heat dome…yay for global warming!

I just had to feature your beauty bundle idea! It’s genius!

  6. That sounds hot an miserable. We’re having a rainy day (shocking, I know) and temps are hovering at barely 70 so I’ve got on long pants… I think fall is definitely starting to settle in up here but I keep hoping for one last warm week.

    • It has been miserable. I really hate feeling like I can’t get outside, but the air quality has been really bad, too. I’m anxiously awaiting fall!

      Thanks, Joanne!

  7. Thank you for hosting Marsha and the team, much appreciated.
