Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week 134!

My post this morning was a little wonky for some of you. If that ever happens, please let me know (a couple of you did). I have no idea what was going on other than the device you were using made a difference. I saw the error on my laptop, but it was fine on my iPad. It just made me feel a little unprofessional with a post that looked like that. But, it sometimes feels like we’re at the beck and call of technology, right? Anyway, it’s time for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! I’m not sure about times right now, but I will still be aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?

As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Amy from The Copper Table.

Amy says, “I’m so glad you’re here! If you are hoping to find out more about the recipes on this site and its creator, this is the best place to start!

This blog is about using Farmers Market and CSA box produce, cooking in season, and making as many things as possible from scratch without taking all day in the kitchen. Great food isn’t difficult, and it doesn’t have to take a lot of time!

It is my mission not only to help you cook fresh, but to have fun in the kitchen! The question “What’s for dinner?” should not be a stressor, but a place of solace.

What do I mean by Slow Food? Using what is local to you as much as possible, avoiding processed foods, and letting your eating flow with the seasons. Even in the fast pace of life today, I believe it is still possible to do all of these things and I’m going to show you how!” You can find Amy’s blog here, and please tell her we sent you!

Want to know more about us…

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity.  Oh, who are we kidding?  Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!

Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household  – The name says it all, we homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing this land. I cook and bake from scratch, between gardening and running after the chickens, and knitting!

Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and more.

Cat from Cat’s Wire is a bookworm, movie fan, crazy cat lady, armed with beads, cabs, wire and a very jumpy brain which loves to go down rabbit holes!

Rena from Fine, Whatever writes about style, midlife, and the “fine whatever” moments that make life both meaningful and fun. Since 2015, she’s been celebrating creativity, confidence, and finding joy in the everyday.

  4. Oh yes, I hate when technology seems like it’s working against me. I have a post I’m working on for January and on my blogger end there is a “caption here” that I can not get to go away no matter what I do! Luckily it doesn’t seem to appear on the preview page…

    • Thank you, Joanne, for making me feel less like a bumbling fool! I could see it when I went in from the front end on my lap top. But, from the backend, it was fine. I think it’s ok now, too, but I wonder what’s next!

  5. Thank you for hosting Marsha! I hope your weekend is wonderful and warm!

    • You’re welcome, Kellyann! It’s going to be quite warm for Indiana in December. Christmas Day is supposed to be in the 60s! That’s crazy!

  6. A lovely party full of seasonal inspiration. Thanks for hosting and happy holidays.

  9. Thanks so much for the party, Marsha I hope your holiday preparations are going well! I’ve been stretched a bit during the past week (in the best way possible) as our daughter and her family were here for an extra long weekend (5 days) and we had an early Christmas together. I’m finally getting back into my normal rhythm… at least for a few days! Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Christmas!

    • You’re very welcome, Laura! I’m slowly (as in this is the latest I’ve ever been) getting things done. I can’t find the timer for the outside lights so that’s one thing that just isn’t going to happen this year. What’s worse is I haven’t baked a single Christmas cookie. I did start wrapping presents, but there are so many as we have more in our family this year. I hope you and yours are filled with the joy of the season, Laura!

  10. Thanks for link up! I’ve tried to comment on Rena’s blog but it won’t let me (I’ve had this problem before). Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

    • You are welcome, Emma! I had the same problem with Rena’s blog and let her know. I know others have had problems with mine. I think WordPress is the problem, but how to fix it is the question, right? I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday season!
