Week 136!
Happy New Year to all of you! Are you someone who makes resolutions? Or, do you prefer making goals? I don’t really do any of those. I had a Word of the Year, but I can’t tell you what year or even
what it was. I’m just not good at doing those things. Has this been a weird week for you? I have to keep reminding myself what day of the week it is even though it pretty much doesn’t matter. Anyway, it’s time for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! I’m not sure about times right now, but I will still be aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?
As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Kimberly from DIY Party Mom.

Kimberly says, “Hello friends!
I don’t know about you, but my family is the most important thing there is to me. I love knowing we are can be a family forever. But that’s a long time…so I’m here to help myself, and other moms, to make the journey to forever a little more fun! I hope you’ll join me.” You can find her here, and please let her know we sent you!

No resolutions or goals for me on New Year’s Day. I gave up on that long ago and found it works better for me to do it when I’m ready throughout the year.
Hope you are having a great weekend, Marsha!
Thanks, Cat! We had a very lazy weekend! And, I agree with you completely…you have to be ready to set and then work on goals.
No resolutions, goals, or WOTY for me either but I am definitely finding all the days blending into one another much more than usual!
Thanks, Joanne! It is a weird time of year, isn’t it? I suppose it’s because two holidays occur so closely together.
Happy New Year Marsha! Many thanks for maintaining this great link party, No resolutions, I’m a great believer in the phrase ‘today is the first day of the rest of your life!’ Any time, any day can be a new beginning!

You are welcome, Pamela! You don’t see that around as much as you used to, but it surely is true. It’s a big like carpe diem, right? Every day is an opportunity!
Marsha,
Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year, Deb! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season! Thanks so much for linking up with us!
My hubby went back to work today (but is taking Monday off) so it has been nice to have had him around the house the last 10 days. Granted he was sick half of last week and gave his germs to the boys… But still nice!! We are enjoying not having to wake up at a certain time and it is going to be difficult for everyone to go back to school!

Oh, I hope everyone is now better and enjoying what’s left of their break. Sleeping in was always such a luxury when I was teaching. I am a night owl by nature so most people would think I’m sleeping in when I’m honestly just getting in my eight or so hours! Have a wonderful week, Mireille!
I don’t necessarily make resolutions, but I do make some plans. I am not hard on myself though if I don’t achieve them. I am always making plans though so it is not really a New year thing.
And this has been such a weird week! Billy took the week off and we had planned to do things, but honestly, it has been so cold and we have been just wintering here I guess. Watching movies, eating popcorn, just doing whatever. It’s been nice. Places to go will always be there.
Aww, your week sounds quite nice. It’s been cold but not as bitterly cold as it had been. I make lists all the time…sometimes, I actually check things off of them! Thanks, Erin!
