Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #60!

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household, Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, and Sue, from Women Living Well After 50 and I are the hostesses for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

How has your week been? I have to say my containers and perennial beds are looking mighty fine! Huzzah for Lowes clearance corner! I think they’ve been overstocked for a bit because so many people planted early this year. I visited the corner again today and came away with six more perennials and a Boston fern. I still need to buy some cosmos and zinnia seeds to plant on the hump.

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! I’m especially looking at my fashion friends! We are woefully underrepresented in the link up! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam

    • Just visited your heartfelt post, Debbie… After I commented, it disappeared (as way too often happens to my comments for that kind of format). Anyhow, it was lovely…and if my very long comment went to the internet dustbin, I just wanted you to know I appreciated your husband’s story.

    • You are very welcome, Deb! I hope you are doing well…I’m sending you a virtual hug and keeping you in my prayers

  4. I really like to see the favorites because there is always one or two I didn’t notice or read.

    • It is so hard to pick favorites most weeks because they are always so good!

      Thanks, Mireille!

  5. Hello, Marsha. Popped in to read your latest post and saw the invitation to join your party. I don’t usually do these because if I add anymore wonderful blogs to my reading list, I will spend my ENTIRE day on the computer, haha. But I will enjoy making the rounds before I get back to work. This could get me in SO much trouble, haha.

    • I’m glad you did, Em! I know what you mean about joining those parties because you always end up with a new blog. But, maybe that’s how you found me!

      Thanks, Em!

  6. I still don’t have any plants yet and every now and then I feel a bit panicked that they might not have anything good left but then we wake up to weather that’s in the 30’s and I thankful I haven’t spent any money on plants that might not make it yet.

    • I was shocked when the greenhouse we go to was cleared out of so many of the basics…like begonias, impatiens, and alyssum. But, if you’re still having weather in the 30s, no one is probably buying them. We’ve been warm since the first of April. I feel like summer has been here for weeks now!

      Thanks, Joanne!

  7. Thank you for the link up!

  8. Thanks so much for hosting each week, Marsha! Wishing you a wonderful spring weekend ahead!

  9. I’m doing a lot of work in the garden too – putting in perennials mostly. But mulch is on the horizon. I really need help keeping the weeds down.

    • Michelle!!! I’m so glad to see you here! I have been working on putting in perennials mainly, and yes, we have lots of mulch! Unfortunately, we don’t have the beautiful yard you do!

      Thanks, Michelle!

  10. Thanks so much for hosting, Marsha. It’s always a pleasure to visit your site. I really appreciate the features this week. Such fun to discover such a great surprise. Hope you have a lovely week.

  11. Thanks for hosting Weekend Traffic Jam! It’s great to hear that your containers and perennial beds are thriving, especially with those awesome finds from the Lowes clearance corner. And thanks for the encouragement to link up our favorite posts—I’ll be sure to spread the word!

    • You are welcome, Melody! I would love it if you spread the word about our link party! And, I’m so glad you linked up with us!

  12. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

  13. There were so many good posts last week and I see even more this week. So much fun.

A lot of people are planting right now around here. I am so behind but want to plant some tomatoes and peppers in pots at least this year.

    • Every year I think about planting some tomatoes and peppers in pots, but I never get around to it. I don’t like tomatoes that much but, gosh, I’d love to grow some cucumbers! There’s nothing like homegrown cucumbers!

      Thanks, Lisa!
