Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #67!

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household, Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, and Sue, from Women Living Well After 50 and I are the hostesses for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

I hope all of you who are dealing with Hurricane Beryl in one way or another are OK. Melynda is going the extra mile today in order to participate! We have just had lots of rain which is something we need. It’s still quite warm so that means it’s really humid, too. This week is the annual Summer Friendship Gathering at my church. This is a three day event (evenings only) for adults with special needs. We meet during the school year once a week so this particular event takes lots of planning. Luckily, I am not one of the planners, just a helper. It’s a beautiful thing to see, hear and just be with these very special people. Their joy is contagious, and I always leave feeling much better than when I arrive. As an extroverted introvert, it’s the getting there that’s difficult, right?

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! I’m especially looking at my fashion friends! We are woefully underrepresented in the link up! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam

Featured favorites from last week:

  1. Hi Marsha, we have been having cold weather hear but not hurricanes! Enjoy your weekend gathering and thanks for hosting #WeekendTrafficJamReboot. I will be participating in SIA again so have emailed you the details. Have a lovely weekend. x

    • I was telling my daughter about how I had to teach how hurricanes impacted Indiana’s weather as we’re pretty far from any oceans. The year Katrina hit the US, it rained for several days, so the weather taught that lesson for me! I did receive your email, but I am so behind on answering them! I’m so glad you are enjoying this!

  2. Cheers for the shout out!

    • You’re welcome, Lydia! Your post really resonated with me as we’ve gotten older and have seen many dealing with dementia or other long-term conditions. But, I thought, at the same time, your post was just really sweet.

  3. Thank you for the feature!

  4. Awww, thanks so much for featuring my Songful Style post and my hand woven festival mat! What a wonderful surprise! Happy weekend!

    • You are very welcome, Deb! Yes, we are staying cool, but that also means we’re staying in the house most of the time. I’d so much rather be outside.

  6. Yum! Joanne’s coffee cake looks good, and yes, I do love that name. Thanks for the party.

  7. Wow! It is so exciting being featured. Thanks so much. I also am sending good thoughts and prayers to those impacted by Beryl. The effects are so difficult to manage.
