Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #70!

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household, Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, and Sue, from Women Living Well After 50 and I are the hostesses for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

How has your week been? It has been rainy and very humid here in Central Indiana. But, Tuesday was cold, cold, cold because I was at the hospital with Nigel as his right hip was replaced. I knew, when I got dressed, I should have worn long sleeves. I didn’t even take along a jacket which would have helped immensely. We were at the hospital very early, but it would be a couple of hours before Nigel was taken into surgery. I spent my time in the surgery waiting room. Another family had been there for two hours longer than us. Their person had breast cancer and was having tumors removed as well as reconstruction done. When we left ten hours later, they were still there. If you believe, please send a few prayers their direction. Oh, and Nigel is doing pretty well with walking and pain management.

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! I’m especially looking at my fashion friends! We are woefully underrepresented in the link up! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam

    • Thank you, my friend! He is feeling a little worse for the wear today. I think it’s because he’s been doing more and more walking and his PT exercises. Have a fabulous weekend, Shelbee!

  7. Wishing Nigel a speedy recovery! My mom had a hip replacement last November and has done very well. If his recovery is like hers, it will be smooth and steady. And of course, I will send good thoughts to the woman with breast cancer.

  8. I am glad surgery went well! Humid like crazy here the last two days and I have a cold! Twice in 3 months! Hoping that is it for a while!

    • Thank you, Mireille! It’s been really humid here, too, but probably not as humid as Georgia. Oh, there is nothing worse than a summer cold. I hope you’re better soon.

  10. My mom was at the hospital for a few hours yesterday with my step father (getting some routine tests) and she said it was FREEZING in our local one too and that she wished she had ignored the 90 degree day outside and worn pants. Glad to hear Nigel is doing well so far.

    • Thank you, Joanne! I am glad it was just for routine tests. I knew it would be cold. It always is. I will remember when he has the left one done later this year.

  11. So happy to hear Nigel is through the first hip surgery and recovering. My husband had surgeries about 8 months ago and being in the hospital waiting for word is so stressful. I’m glad he is recovering well. Our hospitals here are also very cold and you feel it more when you are worried. My prayers are with you both for a speedy recovery. Thanks for continuing to host and for the features this week. It’s always a pleasure to post on your Blog.

    • Thanks, Lynne! That may be it…your body is already in a state of stress so you feel that cold more. I’m always glad to see your posts on our link up!

  12. Thanks for hosting and thanks for the blog love. Hope that you have a wonderful week.
