Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #71!

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household, Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, and Sue, from Women Living Well After 50 and I are the hostesses for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

How has your week been? The weather here has been very warm but not as hot as last week. I’ve had to do lots of watering, especially the Boston ferns. Our little robin babies hatched and look like little robins. I swear they are hungrier than my grandson after a swim meet! Mom and Dad Robin are constantly bringing them worms and screech at us if we’re out there when they’re trying to feed the little ones.

This will be the last Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot for me until September. Melynda, Lisa, and Sue will all still be hosting the party so you can link up at any of their blogs. Also, we will have a “Most Clicked” round up once I’m back for the weeks I’ve been gone! Wish me luck that there’s not much turbulence as well as on-time planes! Once we land in Ireland, everything else is taken care of (I think and hope). I’ll still post Monday and next Thursday (I think). See you in September (did you sing that?)!

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! I’m especially looking at my fashion friends! We are woefully underrepresented in the link up! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam

    • Thank you so much, Pamela! I am hopeful the weather cooperates, but I also know there is no bad weather, just poor clothing planning!

    • Thank you, Deb! I am looking forward to the trip and then getting home to take care of Mike. It’s a little worrisome leaving him right now. Thank you for joining us each week!

  6. Wishing you safe travels, Marsha! Enjoy it all!

  7. Enjoy your trip! My son is actually looking at taking his summer semester abroad in Ireland next year! That is one country I would love to visit myself.

    • Thanks, Mireille! None of my kids did a semester abroad. My oldest couldn’t fit it into his schedule as it was jam packed with requirements. My daughter did go to Provence for J term when she was a sophomore (I think). I’ll take lots of photos!

  8. Oh I am wishing you ALL the best with your trip! I get so nervous about connecting planes and turbulence too so I really hope everything goes nice and smoothly for you.

    • Thank you, Joanne! I absolutely hate turbulence and try to reassure myself, but then I start thinking about just how little stuff is between me and falling out of a plane. I’m such a worry wart about some things!

  9. Aren’t baby robins fun to watch? They grow almost as big as their parents so fast yet keep begging for food. I hope you have a marvelous trip!

    • Would you believe they are gone? I wonder if they’ll come back. I was outside, watering plants this morning. When I came inside, Mike asked me who I was talking to. I told him I was talking to the babies. I was shocked they were already gone. It seems like they turned into birds overnight.

      Thanks, Sally!

  10. Have fun and enjoy Marsha, be good to hear all about it when you’re back. Jacqui xx

    • Thank you, Jacqui! I should have lots of photos to share! Luckily, my phone tags the location so I won’t have to remember!

  11. I love those ribbons in the sky! Have a fabulous time! Look forward to seeing the photos!

    • Thanks, Lydia! I’m beginning to get excited and need to start packing! Those ribbons were just amazing, weren’t they?

  12. Have a wonderful time in Ireland, Marsha. I know you are going to love every minute. Can’t wait to hear about your adventures. Thanks so much for the features. Have a super vacation.

    • Thank you, Lynne! I’ve been watching the weather forecasts and trying to figure out what to pack. I know there’s no bad weather just the wrong clothing! I’m trying to be prepared. And, you’re welcome for the features. I’m so glad you link up with us.

  13. All the best for your trip Marsha!!! You’ll have a ball x

    • Thanks, Debbie! Maybe, one of these days, the stars will align, and we’ll both be in the UK at the same time!

  14. Marsha, thanks so much the feature. What a lovely surprise! I hope you have the most wonderful trip. Safe travels, my friend!

    Shelbee

    • You are so welcome, my friend! I’m hoping to have a good time seeing all the places I’ve only ever read about!

  15. Thanks for hosting this great party. I am sorry for doing this but I am including a post I did ten years ago. It is because Lydia Ko won the Women’s Olympic Gold in Golf and qualified for the LPGA Hall of Fame by doing so. The post is from the Swinging Skirts Tournament that was held at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City and I went. Lydia that week turned 17 and also won her first pro tournament that week. I got a picture of her there. I thought it would be cool to look back at the start of her career.

Anyway, thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

    • You are very welcome, Patrick! I am so glad you did share that post because it’s relevant, and we welcome all posts!
