Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #80!

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household, Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, and Sue, from Women Living Well After 50 and I are the hostesses for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

How has your week been? I am going to say it…I can’t believe October is over. This month just flew by me. Our weather has been quite nice, but it decided to rain and get quite chilly for Halloween. I do remember wearing winter coats under my costumes when I was a kid. I also remember being too warm in whatever costume I’d thrown together. I’m thinking I need to suggest a Halloween party for our neighborhood. There are about 80 houses with the median age being well over 65…wouldn’t that be a hoot? I wonder if I could even get Nigel to put on a costume…probably not. The only problem with this is we don’t have a club house. When the neighborhood has block parties, they just block off part of the street. Since the neighborhood is one big oval, there is always a way around the party.

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! I’m especially looking at my fashion friends! We are woefully underrepresented in the link up! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam

  1. Hope you had fun, we took the two little ones around the area and they were delighted to get some goodies, the others went with friends and their mums to a safe trick or treat in the town. Everyone had fun as you would imagine xx Jacqui xx

    • In our old neighborhood, we would see as many as 200 kids. Now, that we live in a neighborhood of old people, we don’t see anyone. It’s kinda sad not to see the little ones all dressed up!

  2. Thanks for the link up Marsha! Hope you have a great weekend!

  5. I remember wearing winter coat and putting them on under our boys’ costumes too.. we definitely would not have needed them this year!

    • It was really chilly on Halloween here plus it was raining. I doubt that put a damper on too many kids, though!

      Thanks, Joanne!

  6. We don’t do Halloween so I have just been counting the days till the ugly giant skeletons and such get put down.

    • We haven’t done Halloween for a few years now. My kids dressed up when they were very little and then for school because they still had all school Halloween parades. I don’t mind the decorations, but I’m not looking forward to the Christmas ones coming up so soon.

      Thanks, Mireille!

    • Thanks, Lynne! We had a very quiet Halloween as we live in a neighborhood of older people. But, it was fun to see the lights in the neighborhood closest to us. I’m so glad you link up with us each week, Lynne!

    • Oh, my goodness! There are people around here who already have their outside lights up and lit up at night! I won’t decorate until after Thanksgiving which is the fourth Thursday in November for us.

      Thanks, Emma!
