Week #101!
Welcome back, my friends! The clean up continues in Brownsburg after last week’s tornado. It was a confirmed F2 tornado and did so much damage. The strange thing about tornadoes is how they bump and bounce around. There is a family farm maybe two miles (as the crow flies) from us. It was hit so badly. Several old blue spruce trees were lying on their sides. Their pergola was lying in the median. And, a couple of outbuildings were destroyed. Luckily, no one was injured there. The man who currently lives there (his dad bought the farm in 1950) said he was sitting in a room near a window. The next thing he knew, the window was blown out, and glass was sprinkling over him. That was the only damage to the home. Anyway, welcome to the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.
Wouldn’t you like to know more about your hostesses? We’ve got you covered there! Please feel free to drop by the others to see what their blogs are all about! We are a very diverse group of bloggers. Links to each blog appear below.

Not sure about the strawberries and corriander,. but I’m pretty happy to give anything with corriander a go!
I’m not 100% sure I’ve ever had coriander. I need to try it sometime! Thanks, Lydia!
Hi, Marsha – Oh, the poor man who got hit by the lightening! I hope the cleanup goes well for everyone all over town. Spring weather should hopefully help make that possible more quickly. Thank you for the link up! – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com
You’re welcome, Angie! You know they say don’t get out of your car, but what’s your first reaction…get out of your car. It’s a shame because he was pretty young, too. I hope all the homes are fixed (and done right) quickly. I’m pretty sure they’re not livable.
So glad no one was injured! What a shock that must have been.
Thanks, Cat! Can you imagine sitting there, listening to the storm, and then being covered in glass?
Thanks for hosting Marsha!
You’re welcome, Nancy!
Thanks for the feature! Sorry to hear about the tornado. Your neighbor had a lucky escape!!
You are welcome, Gail! Yes, he really was. Some of the outbuildings were literally flattened.
Thank you for the link up, Marsha!
xo,
Kellyann
You’re very welcome, Kellyann!
Marsha,
Yes, tornadoes are crazy…The shopping center right next to my townhouse development was hit by one in 2018. Tornadoes are very rare here in NEPA…It destroyed so many businesses and stores but yet left a flower tent standing!!
My Link Ups for today’s party are # 29, 30 and 31!!
Thanks so much for hosting this wonderful party!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!! I hope you are having a great week!!
Hugs,

Wow, that really is something! A flower TENT, of all things! I hope never to see another one! Thanks, Deb, for linking up! We always love your posts!
Yikes! I’m glad the tornado damage wasn’t worse, but still it was bad enough.
Thanks, Michelle! It was really bad where it touched down. Luckily, it didn’t touch down that many places, but then we weren’t in any of the places where it did touch down.
The tornado sounds terrifying! We’re very lucky that we very rarely get them in the UK. I hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks, Emma! Honestly, I wasn’t really as frightened for us because I think the worst had passed before we even realized it. I was terrified for my oldest and his family because it looked like they were right in the line. He said it veered a little north or south and missed them thankfully.
Thanks for linking up!
I am so sorry to hear about all of the devastation left by the tornado, Marsha. While we’ve never been directly in one, we’ve been within a mile or two and it’s unbelievable the destruction that can take place in mere moments. Praying for resilience and stamina as the clean up contines!
As always, thanks for another great party and thank you for all you do to support and encourage us all! I love visiting Amy’s site, too! Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful weekend ahead!
Thank you, Laura! The last home we lived in was just a block or two from where all the damage occurred. My heart goes out to those people. Honestly, I don’t think I’d want to live in those homes again. The roofs were torn off, leaving just the rafters. And, it poured for hours after so you know all the insulation and drywall in the at least the second floor rooms were soaked. I would be so afraid of mold and other problems to come. It will be interesting (which is such an awful word to use) to see what people do. I’m sure insurance companies will only do remediation and rebuilding of roofs rather than the whole second floors. I’m so glad you link up with us each week, Laura!
I agree, tornados are the weirdest thing in how the damage can be so different from one house to the next. I can’t imagine how scary it must have been for the guy with the window blown out next to him, but glad he’s OK! Thanks for the feature. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
You’re welcome, Sally! I honestly have never lived near any place that got hit like this (that I can remember…I know there was one close when I was much, much younger). They really are weird. The end of a warehouse was destroyed, then it skipped over to another warehouse and through some semi trailers all around. So surreal!
Yikes, tornadoes scare me so much!
I know exactly (now) what you mean. I think, when I opened our front door and looked out is when the worst part of the storm was going over our house. Our neighbors said they could hear that freight train sound everyone talks about. I just knew I couldn’t hear the tornado siren, which is a little scary. It’s not as close to us as at our last house.
Thanks, Joanne!
I am so glad that no one was injured. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
Thank you, Patrick! And, you are very welcome! We are so happy you link up with us!
