Week 151!
Wow! I spent all day today thinking it was Wednesday even though I know tomorrow is Friday! How’s that for being confuzzled? I had a wonderful time at the art museum today. I’m in a group that focuses on European art, and we had two docents present on different pieces of art. I’m amazed at the knowledge some of our docents have. You can name an artist, and they’re off and away about the piece of art IMA (Indianapolis Museum of Art) has. I hope I get to that point someday. Anyway, it’s time for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! I’m not sure about times right now, but I will still be aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?
As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Charlene from For Family Caregivers.

Charlene says, “We are a mother son duo who cared for our loved one for five years after he was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia due to Frontal Temporal Degeneration. It was a disease no one had heard of until Bruce Willis was also diagnosed. We learned to advocate for a disease about which little was known, adapt to rapid changes that left him unable to speak, to feed himself and become totally dependent. We learned on the fly – guessing, researching, asking questions and, sometimes, giving up in tears and frustration. It was a challenge. Heart breaking. And a privilege. We are not the only family to travel this unexpected road. We want to share our hard won knowledge so others could benefit from our struggles and give them meaning. It can only take 5-10 minutes because that’s all the “spare” time a caregiver has! Short and sweet bites: time saving tips to implement, food for thought, a new way of doing things, a break in the routine, a bit of self care, useful knowledge … We’ve gone through the struggle and we want to make it easier for others.” Please visit her here, and let her know we sent you!
