Week 177!
Oh, my gosh! I just realized, as I was working on this, it’s Friday, not Thursday! I apologize! It has just been one of those weeks. I usually start my day by telling myself what day of the week it is. Weird, right? I had a tour today at the museum, and I just thought it was Thursday. But, part of my brain recognized the fact because I had a grocery pickup. I always do those on Friday to get quadruple points on my groceries. Anyway, it’s time for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! I am always aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?
As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Melissa of My Homemade Roots!

Melissa writes, “I’m Melissa, and this is my cozy corner of the internet, where I share from scratch recipes (ok, mostly from scratch), old-fashioned kitchen wisdom, and simple homemaking ideas inspired by the rhythms of the seasons. I have a love for hearty, old-fashioned meals, freshly baked bread, and a good canning recipe. I also love to share my gardening tips, craft ideas, and hints for simple living. I write about creating a home you love in the only tried and true way I know — one simple recipe or project at a time. I also believe that homemade living isn’t about doing everything from scratch, having the perfect farmhouse kitchen, or getting it all right. To me, it’s more about finding joy in the process. Slowing down, getting your hands a little messy, and discovering the satisfaction that comes from making something with care. Especially when it connects us to the time of year, the harvest, or a memory. And just know that whether you’re growing your own vegetables or picking up groceries at the market, there’s a place for you here. You don’t need to live in a farmhouse or call yourself a homesteader to enjoy this way of life. A love for homemade food and a warm, welcoming heart is enough. So whether you’re here for a cozy winter dinner, a spring baking project, or tips for preserving the summer harvest, I hope you’ll find something that inspires you—and maybe even reminds you of your roots.” Please stop by her blog here, and tell her we sent you!

Well, my dad is in the hospital and I have been spending my days and nights at my mom’s (she can’t get to the bathroom on her own anymore) so I am surprised I know what day it is at all. You got it up so that’s what counts!
Lisa, I am praying for your family. I hope things change for you (in a positive way) very soon.
Happens to me all the time, Marsha! I check the date a lot and still often feel like it’s not the day the calendar tells me it is!
Thanks, Cat! Now, that makes me feel better because you’re always on the ball (I really mean that)! On one hand, I knew it was Thursday because I ordered my groceries for a Friday pickup, but on the other hand I felt like it was only Wednesday! So weird!
Thanks for hosting Marsha! I hope you have a blessed weekend and blessed weekend to all the ladies linking up! xoxox
