Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week 140!

Boy howdy! It is beyond cold here! You know how Peter cried, “Wolf,” and, after a bit no one believed him? Well, that’s the way I’ve felt about weather forecasters the last few years when it came to snow. But, this time, my friends, they were right! Reports vary on how many inches we got, but it’s somewhere around 10 (25.4 cm). Now, Jack loves to romp in the snow, but the temperatures have been absolutely frigid…our lows have been around -7 or 8 (-17.8 C). So, he is struggling with doing his business. He tries to hold up a foot or even two while he’s going! It doesn’t work, needless to say. Anyway, it’s time for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! I’m not sure about times right now, but I will still be aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?

As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Kristin from HoneyBears and SydneyBeans.

Kristin says, “I’m Kristin! I am a Mom to a 15 year old, HoneyBear & a 11 year old, SydneyBean. I am married to a supportive & amazing man who loves me despite my crazy gene! Together we have a Couples Podcast called How Was Your Week, Honey?

I am learning to live without my Mom, who passed in 2013 and  the ups and downs of being pretty newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I love cooking, reading, crafts, and all things beautiful. I am an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and I go by she/her pronouns.

I enjoy politics, music, pop culture and sports. As a family we love to explore, adventure and learn about what we can do to love and care for our community!” You can find her here, and please let her know we sent you!

  4. Thanks for the feature! I heard we got 16.5″ on Sunday and I don’t think anything at all has melted since it’s been downright freezing here too.

    • You’re welcome, Joanne! That’s a lot of snow! Shelbee wrote on her blog that just a few miles from them that they get over 180 inches a year! I can’t even imagine that!

  5. Poor Jack! It’s been a crazy week of winter weather! Hopefully it will begin to warm up now. We’re supposed to see temps in the 20s this weekend and I think that will feel like a heat wave! Thanks so much for another wonderful party, Marsha! Happy Friday!

    • Thanks, Laura! He’s happier now because it’s in the 20s so his feet aren’t so cold. But, now he’s falling through the top icy layer. But, he did want to play in it the other day. We’re supposed to be in the 50s next week, I think. I will miss the snow, though! Have a wonderful week, Laura!

  6. Still no snow here, and barely any ice (which was fine with me). So we didn’t lose power, but got one day of digital learning out of it. We got some home projects done last weekend since we stayed home.

    • I’m glad you didn’t get much ice. I have a high school friend who lives in Nashville. They were several days without electricity, and I think there are still several thousand without it. Thanks, Mireille!
