Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week 152!

It’s been quite nice here in Central Indiana the last few days. Most of my perennials are showing signs of life. The hump is still rather empty. I’m hoping some of the cosmos seeds that dropped will germinate and grow. I do have one little sprout coming up from a rogue seed from my hibiscus bush! And, we have a robin already cultivating at least one egg. I couldn’t get close enough to see how many eggs were in there. I usually put a wreath out by the front door, but the robins build nests in there and make a mess on the porch. Anyway, it’s time for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! I’m not sure about times right now, but I will still be aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?

As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Susan from From Bay to Beach.

Susan says, “My name is Susan and I’m proud to be a 5th generation Californian. My heart resides in two places – the SF Bay Area, where I was born and raised, and coastal San Diego county, my second home. I like to write about coastal style, beautiful interiors, entertaining and casual California living. So whether you love wine country, the coast, or anywhere in-between, you’ll find it all here – From the Bay to the Beach.” Wow! I love both of those cities so I just might be a little jealous! Anyway, please visit Susan here, and tell her we sent you!

  2. I loved that driftwood post too!

We are having very nice weather here and everything is starting to bloom. It has been a bit too warm for me for Spring but there are always days like this. Next week it will be chilly again so I’l have some more time to snuggle under my blanket and watch old movies.

    • Now, I just need to find a beach! We actually turned the AC on last night because it was so hot in the house. Today was a little cooler. I am afraid the shoulder seasons will continue to shorten until we have only two seasons…summer & winter. And, we’ll both be miserable!

  3. Thanks Marsha and co – you do a great linkup each weekend and I appreciate your support.

  4. We have many blackbirds nests, so sweet. Spring is wonderful isn’t it?

    • I checked the nest today when Mother Robin was gone, and there are four eggs in there! It will be a very crowded nest when they hatch. Since they’re high up and very close to the house, I don’t think any critters will get to them. But, it does mean lots of bird poop on the porch! Have a wonderful weekend, Nancy!

  5. It will be interesting to see which plants have survived in my garden, as new top soil was put over the raised beds and a lot of plants were removed. I can already see some geraniums breaking through! Many thanks for the link-up.

  6. We had a few rainy days, a bit chilly as well, but yesterday the sun came out again and it got warmer. I’m still not sure if that’s officially spring now.
    Have a lovely weekend!

    • Thanks, Cat! I hope your weekend is warm and sunny. I’m not sure what our weekend is going to be, but I think it will be cooler. I am not ready for high temperatures yet!

  7. I haven’t ever read anything by that blogger; heading to check their blog out. Thanks for the suggestion!

  8. I am going to check out Susan’s blog. I could use a little coastal style right now since it is still so cold and snowy here! Thanks for hosting and have a lovely weekend, my friend.

    Shelbee

    • Enjoy her blog…it’s quite nifty! I can’t believe you still have snow. We have had days in the 80s which is far too warm for this time of year, I think! I’m afraid we’re going to soon only have two true seasons here in Central Indiana! I hope you have a fabulous weekend, Shelbee!

  9. We’ve been good about watering our plants so we are hoping they all do well and we are on the lookout for seeds to sprout!

    • I don’t tend to water the plants I’m overwintering. Some of them didn’t make it, but quite a few did. Good luck with yours!

  10. Thanks so much for the party, Marsha! It’s always fun to stop by to see what you and everyone else is up to! Have a wonderful weekend!
