The drag races have begun. We live less than three miles from the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. This weekend is the US Nationals for the NHRA. It’s a weekend full of sound and probably lots of fury! NHRA is the National Hot Rod Association. I cannot imagine how loud it is over there when I can hear them zooming quite well inside my house! I think it’s going to be really good weather for them. Usually, it’s very hot and humid.

We live just minutes away from a race track too and we can hear cars racing all the time. Sometimes if the wind is blowing just right (or wrong depending on your viewpoint I guess) we can even hear the announcers.
Now, that’s something we don’t hear. At our last house, we could hear the church bells chime the hour until something happened, and they quit doing that.
