Week #34
Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food for Hungry People, and Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, are joining me for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. But, we’d love to have even more co-hosts. If you’re interested, please comment or email me!
Nigel and I took a little trip to Louisville and Lexington, KY. We were going to a small business that grows elephant ears, but they’d already started moving their stock to a different location with a bigger greenhouse for the winter. We then spent a few hours in Versailles visiting Nigel’s oldest brother. It was good to see both him and his wife after several years. We did the touristy things in Lexington, including visiting Mary Todd Lincoln’s home as well as the Lexington Cemetery. I love visiting old cemeteries. And, now we’re home. Jack was so happy to see me…he tolerates Nigel, and the feeling is mutual!
The three of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam!

You are so welcome, Deb! I hope all is well in your world, and that everyone is healthy and moving right along!
I had to Google elephants’ ears….I thought they were Bergenia, I was right. That’s a cute name for them. Thanks for the link-up!
We were looking at Alocasia and colocasia which are different form Bergenia. I’ve not heard of those, but I’ll definitely be looking into them!
Thanks Marsha, I’m so honoured to be ‘most clicked’ in your linkup last week, it made me smile 🙂 Love the elephant ears story! Thanks for the linkup.
You are very welcome, Debbie! I still need to get that elephant ear planted and ready for winter. Cross your fingers it comes back up!
Thanks for the party!
You are very welcome, Amy!
Thanks so much for featuring me this week xx
You are very welcome! I hope you’ll link up as often as possible!
The only elephant ears I had heard of (other than the literal ears of elephants, of course) was a food so I had to google those; now I kind of want one!
Joanne, you will be addicted once you plant them. I started with one that I bought at WalMart. You have to dig them up in the fall, and you’ll discover you have more corms (that’s what the bulbs are called) than you started with. The year before we moved, I gave gobs of them away! They come in some fun colors, too!
Thanks, Joanne!
