Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #49

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household, Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, and Sue, from Women Living Well After 50 and I are the hostesses for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

How has your week been? Mine has been good. After painting the third bedroom, Nigel decided to put a big tv in there. He’d had it stored in the garage. Where it even came from I have no clue! Anyhoo, we got legs for it, put those together (that was fun), and set it up. The first go round was a bit iffy as someone (not me…just saying) wasn’t paying attention to the number of holes in his set of legs! So, the tv was at a definite angle! Well, after a bit of “I told you so,” we got it set up. And, that is the bedroom with the really comfy bed and the electric blanket. Saturday night, I didn’t sleep well because I knew I had to get up reeeeeaaaallly early to play bells at church. I was so tired so we crawled into the warmed up bed, put on a baking show, and I promptly fell asleep! Even Jack was curled up on the bed which is something he’s not usually allowed to do. I have fought the temptation of a nap almost every day since!

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam!

  1. Hi Marsha, thanks for making my Fridays brighter. I enjoy co-hosting Reboot with you. Have a lovely weekend. x

    • Thank you, Sue, for being a part of our link party! It’s been fun getting to know you! Have a fabulous weekend!

  2. Oh I need a electric blanket too, just for my feet! Have a great weekend Marsha!

    • Thanks, Nancy! My feet get so cold and then the rest of me does, too! They are also the last to warm up!

      Have a fabulous weekend!

  3. That sounds like the ultimate perfect cozy moment! I would have a hard time resisting a nap – but I say, why resist?

    • Hahaha!!! I try not to take naps because then I really struggle getting to sleep. I have enough problems with that as it is! But, I also don’t have a busy nine year old to entertain, either!

      Thanks, Erin!

  4. Your new room sounds so cozy. Watching tv always makes me fall asleep.

  5. Marsha,
Are you done painting now??? I have painting to do after Easter….But I have been saying that for a few years now!! LOL!
Thanks again for hosting this wonderful party! I know how much time goes into doing so and I want you to know that I truly appreciate it!! I hope you will have a great week! Thanks for all the inspiration!!!

    • Hahaha!!! We still have the primary bathroom, but I have to pick out wallpaper first. Then, the last room would be the combo laundry room/my closet. I don’t know if we will ever paint that because I’d have to move all my clothes out as well as wrestling with the washer and dryer! But, if we do, I have plans!

I’m so glad you link up with us, Deb!

  6. Thank you so much for the feature Marsha! You made my day!

  7. My husband plans to paint our downstairs, but I am really wondering how long it will take once he starts: our house is big so it will be a project. But we are getting our floors done in 10 days. I should take some before pictures so I will be able to share!

    • I love to paint so all of our houses have been all different kinds of colors. I’ve never been one to paint the entire house one color. That drove me crazy here at the new place. Yes, you should definitely take before and after photos!

      Thanks, Mireille!

  8. Thank you so much for featuring my post!

  9. Happy Friday and weekend Marsha, and thanks for hosting

  10. THat dessert looks pretty, pretty good!

    • Doesn’t it look delicious? The whole meal does…and prepared by a young man still in high school!

      Thanks, Lydia!

  11. Thanks for the opportunity to share, good on you all for hosting. The spare sounds like a winner Marsha 🙂

  12. Curling up in a warm, comfy bed when you’re tired is heaven! I’ve been in the spare room for a week due to my coughing, but last night my husband was away and I slept in my own bed – it was the first time in a week that I haven’t woken up at 3.30am with a coughing fit. I felt like a different person!

    • Oh, I do hope you’re on the mend soon, Emma. I know you’ve been fighting this for a bit. Our regular bed is a TempurPedic and not quite as comfy as the one in the back bedroom. I don’t need an electric blanket with it as it seems to trap the heat.

      Thanks, Emma!

  13. And falling asleep to a baking show sounds like the perfect way to unwind after a busy day. THANKS FOR THE LINK UP

    • You are welcome for the link up, Melody! I’m glad you join in! There are just some days you need a nap, right?

  14. Wow, that is so amazing that it was the most clicked. I actually almost didn’t published The AIDS Quilt Blog. Wow. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

    • You are so very welcome, Patrick! I’m glad you did post it. I think this quilt needs to be seen by people to remember AIDS hasn’t gone anywhere. Thank you for sharing it! Have a fantastic week!
