Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #53!

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household, Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, and Sue, from Women Living Well After 50 and I are the hostesses for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

How has your week been? I just realized last week marked a year of me putting out the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! How could I have missed that? My week has been uneventful. I have been busy doing just about nothing! I am really struggling with insomnia. Well, maybe it isn’t exactly insomnia as much as just getting to sleep. Once I get to sleep (which is usually around 2:00am), I sleep right through. But, that also means I get up so much later. I am going to try setting my alarm for an early wake up and try to retrain my brain or circadian rhythms or whatever.

As I mentioned last week, I joined Ancestry.com but only the free edition. I think I may let it go until I finish my Storyworth book. Between that, the blog, and writing for our church newsletter, I’m worded out! My oldest sister has now joined Ancestry so I may work with her a bit via Facetime or telephones.

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! I’m especially looking at my fashion friends! We are woefully underrepresented in the link up! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam!

  1. Looking at the featured postsyou’ve a broad range of topics! Great to see and thanks for hosting

    • Thanks, Lydia! I try to pick from different categories! There are so many wonderful posts, though!

  2. It’s really tiring when you don’t sleep good. Since I use hormones, for menopause, I sleep fantastic. Thanks for hosting.

    • I sleep well once I get to sleep. It’s the getting to sleep that keeps me awake! I’m way past menopause and don’t need hormones (for other reasons, too).

      You are very welcome, Nancy!

  3. Ancestry.com is fun, isn’t it?! And I really need to look into Storyworth. I think that every time you mention it and never do it. But now I think I want to! Happy Easter to you, my friend!

    Shelbee

    • Happy Easter, Shelbee! Ancestry is lots of fun when you don’t come up against dead ends…pardon the pun! Storyworth seemed like lots of work at first, but then I realized I didn’t have to write a book for each question. I think it will be a wonderful way for my kids to remember me.

  4. That’s my look into the horizon look! I try to do that every so often in my photo shoots instead of always smiling at the camera =)
    Thanks for the feature!

    • Well, you have it down to perfection! I just look goofy when I’m looking away from the camera. I need to figure out some new poses! You are very welcome for the feature!

  5. I’m having the opposite problem; I have no trouble falling asleep but wake up around 2 or 3 am and can not get back to sleep! I hate feeling so tired and sluggish.

    • That is the worst part of it, right? That feeling of being tired and just not 100% yourself. I hope you can figure out why it’s happening. I’m trying to call it a night with everything much, much earlier so my brain can wind down.

      Thanks, Joanne!

  6. I hope you’re able to get some decent sleep. I’m useless when I don’t get enough, very grumpy and clumsy! Happy Easter!

    • Thanks, Emma! The good thing is I can usually sleep in as I have no schedule! But, the days when I have to get up early can be pretty ugly!

  7. Thanks for hosting, Marsha. I find that the more physically active I am during the day, the better I sleep at night…about 15,000 steps. Wanted to wish you a happy Easter, as well.
    Lynne

    • You are welcome, Lynne! I am active during the day, but my brain doesn’t get the signal! I hope you’ve had a wonderful Easter!

  8. If celebrating, happy Easter Marsha, and thanks for hosting.
