Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #96!

Remember last week, I told you I had a hyacinth poking through (there are four now)? And, I said it would probably snow? Welp, it did…yesterday, we had snow. It wasn’t even what we in Central Indiana would call a dusting. But, it was definitely snow. Jack was disappointed there wasn’t more because he loves playing in the snow. Anyway, welcome to the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

Wouldn’t you like to know more about your hostesses? We’ve got you covered there! Please feel free to drop by the others to see what their blogs are all about! We are a very diverse group of bloggers. Links to each blog appear below.

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity.  Oh, who are we kidding?  Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!

Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household  – The name says it all, we homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing this land. I cook and bake from scratch, between gardening and running after the chickens, and knitting!

Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and more.

Sue from Women Living Well After 50 started blogging in 2015 and writes about living an active and healthy lifestyle, fashion, book reviews and her podcast and enjoying life as a woman over 50.  She invites you to join her living life in full bloom.

As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Jill from Doused in Pink!

A little about…

Jill says, “Hi there! I’m Jill, and welcome to Doused In Pink! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a corporate recruiter by day, and my blog is my creative outlet in this little space of the internet. I’m a breast cancer survivor,  empty-nester, and the Windy City has always been my home. I live with my hubby of 25 years, our daughter (when she comes home to visit), our cat, Richard Parker, named after the character in the book Life of Pi, and our boxer pup Lana.” You can find more about Jill and her blog here. I hope you’ll stop by and tell her we sent you!

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! I’m especially looking at my fashion friends! We are woefully underrepresented in the link up! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam

Favorites from last time…

I really need to try this trend!

  4. How fun to stop by and see that you’ve featured our “Weekly Snapshots” post, Marsha! You made us smile! Thank you and thanks to you and your cohosts for all you do to support this blogging community! Have a wonderful weekend!

    • You’re so welcome, Laura! I’m so glad you link up with us each week! I loved your post…seeing all those photos just made me smile.

  5. Thank you for hosting, Marsha, have a lovely weekend! We are having real spring weather here today, I’m cautiously optimistic 😉

    • You’re welcome, Cat! It’s been sunny and chilly which is almost worst because it looks like it should be warmer than it is! Have a wonderful week, Cat!

  6. We had flurries this past weekend but luckily it had just rained so none of the snow stuck around. I haven’t noticed any spring bulbs poking through yet but i did notice some very tiny buds on a few of the trees!

    • We are going to hit the high 60s this week. I think spring has sprung, but it’s not unusual to have ice storms in April, too. I thought I’d seen buds on trees. I’m really hoping my rose bushes made it through this frigid winter.

      Thanks, Joanne!

  7. We woke up to snow yesterday too. Valentino is not a fan.

    • Wow! Is that unusual? Jack loves the snow, but he doesn’t like to be cold! He looks at me as if he wants me to hold him up while he does his business! But, we have had really cold weather.

      Take care, Michelle!

  8. This was such a fun and engaging post! I love hearing about the little seasonal changes, like your hyacinths popping up, even with a bit of snow trying to make an appearance. Jack’s excitement for snow is so sweet—hopefully, he gets a proper snowfall to play in soon! Also, I love the idea of the Weekend Traffic Jam growing and connecting more bloggers; it’s such a great way to discover new voices and perspectives.

I hope you are having a great weekend. You are invited to read my new post: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2025/03/the-breathtaking-adventures-we-had-in-glencoe.html Thank you!
