Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #98!

Last week, I told you Spring had sprung. Mother Nature had other plans in mind. While we did reach 77 (25C) one day, that was swiftly followed by severe storms and colder temperatures. And, this Saturday, my friends, is my mini retreat. The presentation is written; the booklets are printed; and the food is planned. Hopefully, it will go as smoothly as the others have. Wish me luck! Anyway, welcome to the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

Wouldn’t you like to know more about your hostesses? We’ve got you covered there! Please feel free to drop by the others to see what their blogs are all about! We are a very diverse group of bloggers. Links to each blog appear below.

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity.  Oh, who are we kidding?  Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!

Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household  – The name says it all, we homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing this land. I cook and bake from scratch, between gardening and running after the chickens, and knitting!

Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and more.

Sue from Women Living Well After 50 started blogging in 2015 and writes about living an active and healthy lifestyle, fashion, book reviews and her podcast and enjoying life as a woman over 50.  She invites you to join her living life in full bloom.

As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Maria from The Krafty Planner!

A little about…

Maria writes, “I’m Maria—a blogger, writer, planning + journaling expert, and creator. With this blog and supporting online courses, I help multi-passionate women, like you, establish systems & routines that will help you achieve your goals and become your best self. 🙂 P.S. Not that it matters (too much), but I do enjoy designing and creating all of the printables myself. I take pride in designing each piece from scratch, ensuring they’re unique. No templates or PLR here – just genuine creations crafted exclusively for you.” You can find more about Maria and her blog here. I hope you’ll stop by and tell her we sent you!

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! I’m especially looking at my fashion friends! We are woefully underrepresented in the link up! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam

  1. Ha! We both love cabbage and potatoes!! 😂😂

    • Hahaha!! My mom used to fry cabbage, and it was delicious. She called it fried garbage because of how bad it smelled. She was such a good cook. I.am.not!

  2. Hope the retreat goes well!

  3. Good luck on Saturday! Enjoy your weekend.

  6. Oh these fluctuating spring temperatures, so frustrating! Thanks for the party.

    • You’re welcome, Amy! They are going to be more “even tempered” this coming week. But, I’m ready for the high 60s.

  7. Hi Marsha, Wow, I am truly honored to be chosen as this week’s featured blogger! Thank you so much for this amazing recognition and for hosting such a wonderful link party each week. 9. We had some really nice warm, sunny weather too and then today it was SO SO cold and raw and windy and rainy… but it is still better than the snow they were originally predicting for today so I’ll take it! Jacqui’s dress is just beautiful!

    • Thanks, Joanne! It’s been a strange winter. We had such cold weather, but it was so sunny for most of it. I think last year we had weeks with no sun. I think I’m colder when it’s windy and rainy than when it’s just grey outside. I haven’t used the word, raw, in years, but that’s the perfect word to describe some of the days we’ve had lately.

  10. You’re gonna rock the retreat. Der Dekan will be crossing his paws for you and nothing can go wrong.

  11. Marsha, blessings on your retreat. Remember this is Lent (I shared a post about it) and we’re supposed to “give up” something. So give up worrying! Most days lately, I feel like giving up the news. But I have hope it will get better.

    • Thank you, Aletha! A friend and I set up the room today so I am feeling less rushed. I am actually feeling quite good about the mini-retreat. The news, on the other hand, I just skim it in the morning and try not to think about it which is probably not a good thing.

  12. Marsha enjoy your retreat!

    Blessings,

    Valerie
