Week #102!
Did any of you wonder why I hadn’t mentioned my daughter and her family when I was talking about the tornado a couple of weeks ago? I didn’t leave her out on purpose. She and her family were in Paris! So, I didn’t have to worry about her. She used to live just a little bit away from the homes that were damaged in our old neighborhood. We both lived in the same neighborhood for about seven years. We moved out in 2022, and they just moved this week! She’s just a bit overwhelmed with working, getting the kids to activities, and trying to move everything by Friday. I went over and did the dirty work…scrubbing toilets, sinks, and the pantry as well as doorknobs and light switches! I’m not a germaphobe, but I also know those are places that all the icky things live! It’s been bittersweet not living as close as we did for those seven years, and now she’ll be even farther away. But, it’s not Virginia or South Carolina! Anyway, welcome to the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.
Wouldn’t you like to know more about your hostesses? We’ve got you covered there! Please feel free to drop by the others to see what their blogs are all about! We are a very diverse group of bloggers. Links to each blog appear below.

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity. Oh, who are we kidding? Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!
Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household – The name says it all, we homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing this land. I cook and bake from scratch, between gardening and running after the chickens, and knitting!
Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and more.
Sue from Women Living Well After 50 started blogging in 2015 and writes about living an active and healthy lifestyle, fashion, book reviews and her podcast and enjoying life as a woman over 50. She invites you to join her living life in full bloom.
As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Mireille from ChezMireille Fashion Travel Mom.

Mireille says, “Welcome to my little corner of the world! I am a stay at home mom of 4 boys who loves to travel and dress cute while doing so. I grew up in France and Mexico City and my favorite places to travel abroad are France, Spain and the Republic of Georgia. To be able to travel with a family of 6, I have learned to budget so that we can save and visit our friends in different parts of the world and the US. Join me as I share our adventures and tips to make these adventures possible as well as my tips for dressing on a budget.” You can find her here, and please tell her we sent you!
The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! I’m especially looking at my fashion friends! We are woefully underrepresented in the link up! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam!

My last move – actually I only moved twice in my life – would have been a nightmare if we hadn’t started so early, we were glad that was possible. I don’t know how some people can move so often even if they have a lot less than we did.
Thank you for hosting and have a great Easter weekend, Marsha!
Our last move was awful. We had money stolen right out of my purse. I discovered a year later, they had also stolen a set of diamond earrings and necklace. They also didn’t put anything on their feet so we had black marks all over the new ivory carpet. It was just terrible from start to finish. They didn’t show up until noon and we had to be out that day!
I hope your Easter was lovely, Cat!
Enjoy your Easter weekend!
We had a very nice Easter. I hope you did, too, Nancy!
Have a lovely Easter, everyone!
I hope your Easter was wonderful, Penny!
Thanks Marsha! And it really is delicious! Give it a try!
You’re welcome, Mie! I can’t wait to make it!
Thank you Marsha for the shout out – I so appreciate it!
Boy your daughter picked a great time to go to Paris. I mean, I know they always say Paris is a good idea but in the case it was an excellent idea!
xo,
Kellyann
You are welcome, Kellyann! Yes, they did pick a good time, but it rained and was chilly for them lots of the days. Her photos just make me want to go now even more!
Marsha,
Happy Easter!

Hi Marsha, unfortunately, for Easter weekend, I left a post about a solemn event. Interestingly, these coincided on the same weekend, I don’t remember that happening before. Thanks for your blog and the link up; it means a great deal to me.
You are very welcome. Yes, that date is definitely somber. But, I’m still glad you linked it! We need to remember.
Thanks for the feature as the blogger! I hadn’t read my intro in a while so it was nice to see that it still works, lol! Hope your daughter enjoyed her trip to France and what a sweet mom you are to do the dirty work lol! I hate cleaning bathrooms!

You are very welcome, Mireille! I’m glad your intro still works. They loved every minute in France. It just makes me want to go that much more. I hate cleaning bathrooms, too, but it needed to be done. I was out of their way and scrubbed everything really well…with rubber gloves on!
That is so sweet of you to help your daughter get her new house ready for the move! I wish them the best of luck; I know moving can be so stressful.
Thanks, Joanne! I was probably more in the way than anything. But, I got those toilets scrubbed as well as other surfaces you touch frequently!
