This is going to be a short and sweet post (sorta) for two reasons. One…I just want to show you these clothes. Two…we’re expecting some really bad thunderstorms. These aren’t the storms I like…these could have spinny bois. I’m stealing that term from a weather page I follow on Facebook. When they skip the funny rhetoric and get right to the weather, I know it’s serious. So, you’re getting a bonus fashion post from me this week! I don’t usually post on Wednesdays, but I haven’t been posting fashion as much as link parties and fashion challenges.
Without further ado…
Several weeks ago, Debbie from Tulip Clothing contacted me. She liked my style and wanted to send me some things…no strings attached! Well, that doesn’t happen to me very often, and after looking at the clothing, I selected a few things. You can see the first posts here and here. Debbie didn’t ask anything of me, but I wanted y’all to see the beautiful clothing she carries. I was surprised when she emailed again to ask me to pick out a few things. I bought a couple of things, too, but I don’t remember which ones are which. So, in keeping with blogging protocol, I’m going to italicize everything. That indicates the items were gifted.

Well, a little more…
Before I get to the clothes, I wanted to tell you about the quality and the website. I find the quality to be every bit as good as another Swedish designer y’all know I love! In fact, I’d say the cottons are much more substantial. The construction is really good, too. I am wondering if Debbie is vertically challenged, too, because the pants are the perfect length for me. Now, the website…one of the things I really like are the measurements given for each item and size. I love that. So far, everything has fit me perfectly because I can use those measurements and get the accurate size. I do have a code, MARSHA20, for 20% off your order.
Poppie Dress in Quails…
This little Poppie Dress in Quails is just so daggone cute! I know I’ve said I don’t like wearing clothing with birds on it. But, I had to look for a bit to even find the quails! The front has a few pintucks and the pockets are really nifty. I wore my Miz Mooz Shay sandals in sage green along with two older necklaces from J Jill. The earrings are also from J Jill.

Gauze and ticking stripes…
Next up is the Olga Pullover in White and the Scooter Pant in Ticking Stripe. This is my second pair of Scooter pants. I really love the details on the legs. As you can see, they are full length on me. There’s a nifty little drawstring so you could tighten or loosen the bottoms as you wish. But, let’s talk this pullover! First, it’s gauze which isn’t always a win for me. I have to tell you…I absolutely love this top! It’s like wrapping yourself in the softest fabric ever and still looking pretty daggone fabulous! I love the little twisty things Debbie does on several items. I’m not 100% sure how she does that, but I’m a fan! I decided to wear turquoise jewelry, most from J Jill, the string of chips is from Pier One back in the day (so decades old), and Nigel bought me the earrings in the Southwest somewhere. The sandals are from L’Artiste, but I couldn’t find them anywhere!

Millie and Gwyneth…
Next up are more of those miraculous twirly thingamabobs…only this time, they’re on a skirt! This is the Millie Skirt in Ticking Stripe. I added this amazing little white top, the Gwyneth Pullover in White. The really cool thing about this is the way you can change its shape. Notice the tapes hanging down? You can leave them alone, and they’ll just hang there. Or, you can pull on them button them so the top has a bit of ruching! I tried to show it in the first collage. I wore my old Born wedges along with two J Jill necklaces. The earrings are also from J Jill! What can I say? J Jill does jewelry right!

Bree Dress in Sand Dollars…
Now, talk about a fun dress! The Bree Dress in Sand Dollars is definitely a blast! Just check out the skirt of this dress! It flares out and about as you walk. It reminds me of the panniers of olden days (not that I remember them). The print is right on trend, too, as it’s coastal chic! I added an old pair of blue floral Born sandals with a Stella & Dot necklace and matching bracelet and some more wooden bracelets. The earrings are also Stella & Dot!

Wrap it up, Marsha!
Well, that was an experience! During the time I wrote this, we had the hail storm to beat all hail storms! I even went live on Instagram with it! It’s now about two hours later, and there are still piles of hailstones at the bases of the neighbors’ downspouts! Ours go underground so we didn’t have piles. Jack was so upset, he threw up! Poor little guy couldn’t understand what was going on. I do hope you enjoyed learning about Tulip Clothing. It’s such good quality and so cute! So, can we talk? Which outfit is your favorite? How do you think those little twirly thingamabobs are made? Do you like gauze clothing? Please leave me a comment or two, and we can talk. I promise to respond as quickly as I can.
Thank you!

How lovely to get the chance to show more of your favourite times. I think the very first dress was my favourite today.
Thank you, Rosie! That print is so subtle, but the lines of the dress are what I really like. I just really am amazed being asked if I wanted something and not expect anything in return. Debbie is so kind.
My favorite were the white top with the pants. The whole outfit with shoes and jewelry has such a fresh look!
Sorry about Jack. I remember one hailstorm here which freaked out (almost) all of the cats and me because it sounded as if someone shot at the house, it was so loud. Only Meffi wasn’t impressed, she and I watched it through the kitchen window.
Thanks, Cat! This top really is so soft and comfortable as are the pants. I am definitely in my comfort era! Jack just couldn’t get away from the sound, either. And, it went on and on for quite a while. Usually, if we get hail, it’s a few seconds. This was quite a few minutes, and it was just pelting everything. It was blowing sideways and hitting the house where the covered porch was. It was so neat to look out the other side of the house and see a rainbow, though.
Oh I LOVE those pants!
Thanks, Joanne! Aren’t they just the coolest? I really like them, and they’re comfortable, too!
Those pants are so cool and I love that top with them! Such stand out pieces! You wear these so well.
xo,
Kellyann
Thank you, Kellyann! I just love the pants. They’re a shorter rise so it took a little minute to get used to that after wearing high rise pants and jeans for so long!
Oh my goodness, Marsha, all of these outfits are so darn cute! I am going to check out this Tulip brand now. I love all the little tie things to change the shape of the garments. So creative and very appealing to me! I also hate crazy thunderstorms like that. Poor Jack! I am glad that he made it through the ordeal.
Shelbee
Thanks, Shelbee! I really like how unique Debbie’s designs are. Those little tabs…they make such a difference in what is just a plain white top. I’m telling you that hailstorm was like nothing I’d ever experienced before. My poor hostas have huge holes in them upon closer inspection. Jack was so much happier once he was in bed (his crate) for the night.
All of your outfits are fantastic. I love that white top with the scooter pants!
I’ve seen quite a few pieces on the website that have caught my eye. Does this brand run true to size?
Thanks, Beth! That top and the pants come in different colors, too! I would say to consult the measurements on the site. Some things I wear a Small and some a Medium. Some I even wear an Extra Small. But, the measurements really do help. Happy shopping!
These items are so pretty and definitely your style! Since I love wearing birds, my favorite is the quail dress 🙂
Thanks, Sally! That’s Mike’s favorite, too! They really are fun pieces, and I was so glad to receive them. Debbie is a doll.
I love how that skirt is basically a basic, yet it has such cool design features. That’s the fun I like in clothing.
XOXO
Jodie
Thanks, Jodie! Aren’t those just the coolest little twirly thingamabobs! I keep looking at them, trying to figure out how they’re made. No luck so far!
What fabulous pieces my friend! Each one is better than the text. Thanks for sharing this brand. That striped skirt is my fave!
https://www.kathrineeldridge.com
Thanks, Kathrine! Isn’t the skirt just the coolest thing ever? I’m so thrilled to have had Debbie ask me to select some pieces.
I absolutely adore that skirt but it’s interesting that you mention the lengths suit you very well. I think the lovely skirt would be too short for me. But all the outfits must be so good during your hot weather. Hope the thunderstorm isn’t too bad.
Have a great weekend X
Thank you so much, Penny! I love the skirt as well because it’s so unique! I am so thrilled with everything and have even ordered a couple of things…OK more than a couple!
I love how you always find pieces with interesting details, and these Tulip Clothing designs are no exception. The striped skirt with those gathered accents is especially fun, and that coastal-inspired sand dollar dress looks perfect for summer.
Thanks, Laura! Oh, my gosh! Those little twirly thingamabobs are just the coolest thing ever! I was thrilled when Debbie reached out and even more thrilled when I saw the unique clothing!
