Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week 169!

Wowza!! Have we had rain or what? I don’t know how much we’ve gotten in the last few days, but it’s been a lot! There are flood warnings for some of the counties in Central Indiana. We aren’t in any of those. The dandelions are quite happy about it! Every morning, I poke four or five new plants out of the yard. I don’t mind them, but Nigel doesn’t like them. It also gives me a chance for getting some Vitamin D. Anyway, it’s time for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot! I am always aiming for 9:30 pm EDT. So, on with the show, right?

As part of our new year reboot, we are now shining the spotlight on a different blogger each week. We invite you to stop by their blog, take a look around and say hello! This week, we spotlight Lisa from Handmade in Israel.

Lisa says, “I am a graphic designer by profession who has gone ‘back to basics’ and I love anything handmade. I enjoy working with paper and other materials, and am always excited to try new projects.” Please visit her blog here, and tell her we sent you!

Want to know more about us…

Marsha from Marsha in the Middle started blogging in 2021 as an exercise in increasing her neuroplasticity.  Oh, who are we kidding?  Marsha started blogging because she loves clothes, and she loves to talk or, in this case, write!

Melynda from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household  – The name says it all, we homestead in East Texas, with three generations sharing this land. I cook and bake from scratch, between gardening and running after the chickens, and knitting!

Lisa from Boondock Ramblings shares about the fiction she writes and reads, her faith, homeschooling, photography and more.

Cat from Cat’s Wire is a bookworm, movie fan, crazy cat lady, armed with beads, cabs, wire and a very jumpy brain which loves to go down rabbit holes!

Rena from Fine, Whatever writes about style, midlife, and the “fine whatever” moments that make life both meaningful and fun. Since 2015, she’s been celebrating creativity, confidence, and finding joy in the everyday.

  1. Happy weekend, Marsha!

  2. Thanks for mentioning my first post in the series about our travels Marsha! I’ve just linked up my post about our travels in Portugal 🙂
    Have a lovely weekend xx

    • You’re welcome, Debbie! I admire you so much for doing this. You inspire me to try a solo trip as soon as I can leave Mike safely!

  3. I am really enjoying reading about Debbie’s amazing trip. Hope the rain lets up soon and you can enjoy some nice sunny days outside. We haven’t had any rain in at least a week.

    • Thanks, Joanne! I can’t imagine being gone that long, but I think it would be amazing to have someone else plan it for me and then just go! The rain continues, and the heat is higher which means it’s very, very humid.

  4. Marsha,
    My Link Ups for today’s party are # 17, 18 and 19!!
Thanks so much for hosting this charming party!!! I truly do appreciate it as I do know the time involved with it….I hope you and your family are well and enjoying your week!

  5. TGIF, Marsha! It was so fun to stop by and see Lisa’s site featured this week. Her cards are amazing with so much thought and detail going into each one and I’m loving Deb’s recaps of her 65 days away, too! This week we’re sharing #20 and #21. Once again, thanks for all the time and love you put into hosting us!

  6. I can’t upload my links today, it’s not letting me do it, grr, so will still visit a few links and hope I can figure it out! We have had some rain this week, but nothing crazy, just been really hot!

    • Thanks, Mireille! I hope you were able to figure things out. The rain has continued. Our yard literally squishes as you walk through it. And, of course, with the heat, you feel like you’re in a wet blanket all the time.

  7. And now it worked… weird! I didn’t do anything! So got some links up!

  8. I meant to add that I’m thinking of Indiana and all the rain you are getting right now. The flooding that has happened in the last few days is devastating. Thinking of all who’ve been impacted!

    • Thanks, Laura! There are areas quite near to us that are experiencing severe flooding due to rivers and canals overflowing. I was shocked to see the river near the museum almost at the top of the bridge. It’s really scary to know how close this is to us. It’s so sad, and I hope the people are helped quite quickly.

  9. Happy Friday and thanks for hosting,
    Amalia
