Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot

Week #30

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food for Hungry People, and Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, are joining me for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. But, we’d love to have even more co-hosts. If you’re interested, please comment or email me!

I hope wherever you are in the world, you are doing well. We spent the week painting one bedroom. Nigel likes to do one wall at a time which drives me bonkers…cut in the ceiling and floor, then roll. I’d rather do the entire room at once. It’s funny how you discover muscles you didn’t know you had until you use them again!

Thank you for your patience as I get things ironed out with this link party. I now have unlimited numbers of links. In the past, some of you may not have been able to link up. So, please link up your favorite posts! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! And, please spread the word about Weekend Traffic Jam!

  1. Thanks for hosting Marsha and enjoy your weekend!

  2. I used to paint rooms the way you do. Empty it out and get the whole thing done at once! But when I did my living room, I painted like Nigel…one wall at a time. And I kind of liked that way better! I didn’t have to move all the furniture out, I only had to move furniture away from one wall at a time. It actually was way more efficient and way less intimidating to tackle the giant room this way! Thanks for the link party, my friend. Have a wonderful weekend!

    • You are so very welcome, my friend! I don’t mind painting this way too much because we can get a room done in a couple of days. But, I really prefer painting the whole room at once so I can get an idea of whether or not I like the color. I have learned light has such an impact on the way the color plays in a room.

  3. Marsha,
Congrats on the new co hosts!!

  4. Painting one wall at a time would drive me bonkers too! I’d just want it done. Thanks for the party.

    • You are very welcome, Amy! Luckily, I’m a fast painter so we got the room done in two days. Putting it back together took a little longer as we had to wait for the paint to cure.

  5. Painting a wall at a time is very meticulous! For me it would be a war of laziness vs. impatience to see whether I would do one at a time or all in one day. Thanks for the feature!

    • Well, in this case, we did actually do two at a time. But, I’d rather do it all at once to get an idea of the finished result. I don’t know that it accomplishes anything, but the engineer in my husband seems to think so! And, you’re very welcome!

  6. Oh I’m with you and would do it all at once! Yes lots of unusual mussels get used don’t they. Take care Marsha and thanks for the linkup. Have a fun weekend x Jacqui x

    • Thanks so much, Jacqui! We have two more bedrooms and bathrooms to do so those muscles won’t be relaxing for a bit!
