Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot!

Week #44

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam. Look for the link up to go live Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT. Melynda, from Scratch Made Food! & DIY Homemade Household, Lisa, from Boondock Ramblings, and Sue, from Women Living Well After 50 are joining me for the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot. Sue’s post goes live in Australia on Friday at 12:30 pm.

I have been trying to track my spending since the start of the year. My conundrum is do I track groceries and eating out? Do I include things like glasses? Or, should I just track spending for clothing? I guess, since I’m doing this just for me, I get to decide, right? Chair yoga is going well for Nigel and me. I’m surprised at a couple of things…how quickly it goes and how much more flexible I’ve already become. I do miss doing yoga from a standing position and hope to get to that someday. At our old house, we had a dedicated exercise room. The carpet in there was recycled from a bedroom when we replaced it with other flooring. I didn’t really care if I sweated on it or not. Here, in this house, we don’t have the luxury of an exercise room. And, I know I could just get yoga mats, but then I’d have to rearrange furniture on a daily basis. There’s actually a fitness center not too far from us that offers yoga classes. But, I also know Nigel wouldn’t go. I know, I know…throwing up all kinds of roadblocks, aren’t I? I just need to figure it out, and I will…someday!

The four of us would like to see the Weekend Traffic Jam grow bigger, so please link up your favorite posts! They can be fashion, DIY, food, lifestyle, travel, you name it! Please visit the other co-hosts as well as two or three of those linked! You just might discover a new blog. I know that’s how I’ve discovered so many and found new friends. 2. Thanks for hosting and hope to see you on my Fancy Friday linkup party!

  3. Chair yoga sounds interesting. You will have to do a post on that someday. Thanks for the party!

    • It’s basically a modified yoga practice while seated on a chair. We don’t have a dedicated exercise space so I hesitate to do it on the floor. I know, from past practices, that yoga makes me sweat quite a bit. I’m not so sure I could write an entire post on it.

You are very welcome for the party, Amy!

  4. Oops, Marsha, I put my comment for Nancy’s blog post on your post, LOL. That will make no sense to you: you can delete it on your end, since I don’t know that I can! Thanks for the link up and ignore me =)

  5. That is the beauty of tracking your spending; you get to decide what parts of your spending you want to track. I’d say anything you are hoping to cut back on would be what you’d want to track. I try NOT to track our grocery bill because I know the healthier foods are more expensive and while I’d love to cut our grocery bill I don’t think I can do that without sacrificing our health… but I really should track my clothing purchases!

    • Thanks, Joanne! I hadn’t really thought about it that way. I should probably track eating out as we have been doing a lot of that lately. Oh, your grocery bill would be scary with three growing boys!

  6. I’m so chuffed. Thank you for selecting mine as a fav. And thank you as always for hosting.

    • You are so very welcome! I loved the route (no pun intended) you took for The Road Not Taken prompt, Lydia. It was really interesting to read.

  7. Thanks for hosting Marsha! Hope you have a great weekend!
