Snow Leopard for the Win!

Signature Side Slit Ankle Pant and Cozy Shimmer Texture – Tipped Hem Sweater Top – Snow Leopard

The big game…

OK…total clickbait, and I admit it! There is no big game coming up for this girl! I do tape record the Super Bowl but only for the commercials and, sometimes, the half time show. I don’t even know who that’s going to be let alone what teams may make it there. I gather Taylor Swift and some football player are a couple, but I don’t know who he is or which team he’s on! My only big game is playing a match three game on my iPad!

Animal prints…

I like animal prints, but I don’t really own that many. I think what I do have are lots of animal print scarves, and a few of my boots also have some animal prints on them. But, for the most part, I don’t have much…shocking, right? When Clara Sunwoo reached out to me, I was delighted to select an outfit. My problem, when working with any company, is my vertically challenged body! I love Clara Sunwoo’s palazzo pants, but I’d have to cut off so much of them. I’m sure I’d lose much of the swish factor! But, the Clara Sunwoo ankle pants are just the right length for me. Gauchos are fun, too! You can see how I styled a pair here if you’d like.

The outfit…

I chose this gorgeous Tipped Hem Sweater Top – Snow Leopard. I didn’t hesitate to select this at all because it’s just like the sweater I wore in the post for gauchos. I have received so many compliments on that sweater. And, I have worn this sweater countless times since receiving it. Sometimes, I fold the collar to make it more of a very loose turtleneck. Most of the time, I just leave it long so that it’s more of a cowl neck. I have tried folding it inside as I’ve seen others do. I think that’s so much more bulky, but maybe I’m doing it wrong! These are the Signature Side Slit Ankle Pants. These pants are so comfortable. They are a thinner knit so they would work all year long. I do like the way that slit opens to give a peek at your shoes or ankles…scandalous, right? You can also use my code, MARSHA10, for 10% off your entire order. But, back to the sweater…isn’t the print absolutely gorgeous? I love how it has worked with denim as well as other colors in my wardrobe. I can see it with a black merino wool skirt I have as well as a grey one. It might even work with a camel colored pleated skirt. Hmmm…will that show up on the blog? Only time will tell!

The Lewk!

I thought I’d try to pull some of the neutral shades out of the sweater with the taupe-y booties from Sofft. I’m not sure I entirely succeeded. I’m trying to decide if there’s too sharp a contrast between the black of the pants with the softer neutral shoe. I bought these booties at an NSale years ago, and they are supremely comfortable. They have the perfect heel height for me. Remember the fun NSales of years ago? Yeah, me, too! The earrings and necklace are both old Kendra Scott.

Wrap it up, Marsha!

Strangely enough, I find it difficult to write a post that’s just about an outfit. I even asked Nigel for suggestions of what to write. But, sometimes, a fashion post is just a fashion post! I’m so grateful to Clara Sunwoo for continuing to value my content and opinion. So, can we talk? Are you a big fan of animal prints? Do you have a favorite? How do you feel about the Super Bowl? Please leave me a comment or two, and we can talk. I promise to respond as soon as possible.

Excuse the Superman curl!

  1. I’m freaking out by the sight of snakes. They really make me feel sick. Luckily I never see snakes. That’s a very pretty sweater, I love a animal print. Never tried trousers with a split. It’s interesting though!

    • Oh, I look the other way if I even think there will be a snake in the area or on tv. I’m so glad you like the sweater. It’s even prettier in real life.

      Thanks, Nancy!

  2. I actually don’t own any animal prints of any kind… You picked a really cute outfit!

  3. My friends and I were just talking about snakes this morning on our walk and saying how much we don’t like them – does anyone? I mean, someone must, right? They just scare me since they are so darn sneaky,
Anyway, I think Clara Sunwoo can do no wrong, and really wish I could better convey the quality of the pieces. They are so well made. I do think they should offer petite sizing! I really like the snow leopard print on you!

    • Hahaha!! Great minds, right? My friend, Larry, loved them, and now, his wife cares for them. I hope she likes them.

Clara Sunwoo makes some of the most beautiful things. I found some things at VonMaur in Indianapolis but not much. Wouldn’t it be fun to visit the store in NYC? I do find it odd they don’t offer petites. I wonder if they take suggestions?

  4. I do love that top on you And really wouldn’t even think of it as an animal print!
I mean who in the right mind like snakes anyway??
    Xoxo
    Jodie

    • Thanks, Jodie! It’s very subtle, isn’t it? I have always been afraid of snakes. I wonder why that is.

  5. So I’m a weirdo who loves snakes! I also love this snow leopard print, and I think it would look amazing with a brightly colored pair of pants or skirt.

    • Thanks, Sally! Hmmm…I have a couple of pairs of “yoga” type pants that are brightly colored. I’ll have to try that. Well, there’s got to be someone who loves snakes, right?

  6. I have an issue with outfits too because I am so short. I love that outfit and I must have a shoe thing because I’m always in love with your shoes. I’m not even that much into fashion myself but I love shoes! Ha! Probably because most of the shoes I want are in adult size but my feet are in child-size.

I don’t watch the Super Bowl. It has never interested me. I did in college with some friends one time but that was probably one of the last times I did.

    • Thanks, Lisa! I do love shoes, but my problem (besides the cost) is my size is so common so they sell out. I didn’t know you were short, too. I haven’t really ever watched a game. In fact, it wasn’t until my oldest was in college that I even saw one. I just don’t get the whole concept!

  7. What a fabulous outfit, Marsha! That sweater is gorgeous and I think the shoes are the perfect choice. They provide a bit of contrast but not too much. I am a huge fan of animal prints … tops, sweaters, scarves, etc. I’m on the hunt (no pun intended) for a pair of leopard print shoes. Unfortunately I have double-wide feet so finding cool shoes is always a challenge. As for the Super Bowl, it depends on who’s playing. Usually I’ll watch for the fun commercials and entertainment at half-time.

    • Thanks, Beth! I thought the shoes looked good, but then I wondered if there was too much contrast. Oh, leopard prints shoes would be fun. Do you have the same experience I do? You know exactly what you want, but you can’t find it anywhere? Good luck on your hunt!

  8. I watch the Superbowl for the commercials, half-time shows, and snacks. lol. Your top is gorgeous! I don’t wear animal print enough and need to change that!

    Jill – Doused in Pink

    • Thanks, Jill! We don’t really do Super Bowl snacks, but the commercials are usually good! I really love this particular animal print!

  9. Hi Marsha,
I’d love to invite you to join in to my linkup on Tuesdays if you like, Turning Heads Tuesday. It goes until Mon the following week. Anyway, I am like that with football, and will ask my hubby “whose playing?” even though he isn’t big on FB either! I like your title as I love CSW clothes and this sweater looks great on you, it sounds like a soft material and I love leopard. Perfect pants too!

    • Thank you so much, Jess! I will definitely visit and link up! My husband has given up on trying to explain football to me. He doesn’t really watch it, but he does understand what’s going on. Oh, CSW clothing! It’s just so good, isn’t it? I really like the sweaters as I have another in a different print.

      Thank you for coming by!

  10. Oh, that Clara Sunwoo top is lovely on you! I love this print for winter.

  11. Love, love, love this Snow Leopard print top Marsha! It would really brighten up your Winter’s day. I do love an animal print although don’t tend to wear the Snow Leopard print but it looks lovely on you. x

    • Thank you, Sue! This is the first snow leopard print I’ve ever had. Most of my animal prints are scarves so I was glad to add this to my closet.
