Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot

Week #19

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Traffic Jam with me! I apologize for the lateness of getting the party started! I continue to be a little under the weather and operating about about 75%. I’ve learned naps are my best friends. In weather related news, I was so excited to read we would be experiencing the Northern Lights. I knew, however, we wouldn’t. No, I’m not a weather forecaster. I’ve just lived here long enough to know if there’s going to be some kind of nighttime wonder in the sky, it will be overcast. So, when forecasters backtracked on the appearance of the aurora borealis in Indianapolis, I wasn’t surprised…disappointed, but not surprised.

I am thrilled to announce Gail of Is This Mutton and Emma of Style Splash will be joining me next week!

  1. I’m sorry you aren’t well. Hopefully a quick recovery. I was so excited when you said you were getting an aurora, but I know too well about those pesky clouds that seem to cover all the eclipses and auroras!! So unfair…Take it easy, until next time!

    • Thank you so much, Lydia! You are very kind. I’m feeling better every day. I really do hope to catch the solar eclipse next summer, but it will probably be raining that day here in Indiana! Have a fabulous weekend!

  2. Thanks for hosting the party Marsha. I do hope you feel 100% soon.

  3. Aw, bummer about the Northern Lights! I am so happy to hear that Emma and Gail will both be joining you to host this fun weekly series! I hope you have a lovely weekend, my friend.

    • Have you ever seen them, Shelbee? I know you’re at a higher latitude than me, but that may not mean anything. They are on my bucket list for sure! I am glad to have these two lovelies joining me, too! Have a fabulous weekend!!!

      Thanks, Shelbee!

  4. Hear you on the aurora borealis – the forecasts aren’t reliable more than 48 hours out, yet they print national news stories based on the long range forecasts.

    • Oh, and you would have been one of those who could see them so clearly! I was so excited and then so disappointed. But, like I said, anytime something wonderful is going to appear in the night sky, you can depend upon it to be cloudy in Indiana!

  5. Thank you for hosting the party dear. The mist clicked look is lovely

  8. Sorry about the northern lights. It reminds me again how appreciative I am that I see them quite regularly from our place. Hope you feel better soon.

    • Awww, thanks, Bernie! I’m feeling better little by little every day. How lucky you can see them regularly. I will just have to take a vacation to the North!

  9. Hope with each day you are feeling better and stronger. Continue to give yourself grace. Do just what you feel like doing. Love the graphic!!

    • Thanks, my friend! I am feeling better, but I’m a bit worried as the doctor said you get to the point where you finally feel human again and then, bam! You hit a wall. I’m hoping I hit the wall and am now way past it!
